Dedicated to Anjali, my best friend who's playing some killer basketball at a hella important tournament at the moment. Kick butt, woman.

Lea's POV:

I woke up to the sound of my phone's vibration. Shit. I had managed to miss Jo's, Dean's and Hunter's call. I slapped my forehead groaning, realizing that I had overslept. I checked my phone realizing that the game had already started but I could make it for the second half if I moved my butt right away.

Sprinting to my closest I grabbed a pair of black shorts and slipped them on. I grabbed my Nike shoes not bothering to change my t-shirt. It was a football jersey after all.

I ran out of the house and made my way to the football field, it was a 15-minute walk and well a 7-minute run. So I took off running to get there on time. Making my way through the streets I could slowly hear the cheering of a crowd. I made my way through the school gates to the field.

Bright lights and a super pumped crowd welcomed me while I looked around for a familiar face and I was met with one.

Hunter.

He stood there in his jersey warming up for the second half I presumed. His eyes made his way to mine and they stayed there. His lips curled into a smile welcoming me.

"Finally." He teased jogging towards me grinning like I was someone important to him. I knew he was avoiding the car incident and I was thankful for that.

"I'm sorry, I fell asleep." I apologized sheepishly looking down.

"You're here now, aren't you?" He said with a short smile.

"I am. What I miss, Mister Striker?" I asked him with a genuine smile.

"We're up by two. Dean scored both, I assisted one." He answered immediately.

"That's brilliant!" I responded excitedly. I knew these boys were talented, hell, I played against them I knew how good they were. No surprise here.

"I'll never get used to your accent." He chuckled causing me to glare at him.

"Where's Dean?" I changed the topic.

"Over there. Come on, I'll take you." He motioned for me to follow him.

"Wait. Am I even allowed to be there?" I question stopping in my tracks.

"No but you're with me so it's alright." He said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Stop with the questions, woman. Just come on." He scolded me grabbing my hand and dragging me towards the rest of the team. I ignored the warmth of his hand and followed him.

"Guys. Meet Lea. Lea, the team." Hunter introduced me to a bunch of lads resting and drinking energy drinks.

"Hello." I politely waved not knowing what else to do.
