I felt a tingling sensation on my face as I open my eyes. I was slightly disoriented by the sunlight when it struck me.

I quickly turned my gaze to my side and saw her, silently sleeping with her both hands under her cheeks.

My hand was automatically magnetized by her beauty and slid my finger on her cheek.

"Welcome home." I whispered with a smile plastered on my face.

I fixed her comforter so she will not catch a cold. After that, I get out of the bed and slide the curtains so she will not be awakened by the sunlight. It's still early so I don't want her to wake up yet. Also, I want this room to be filled with her natural aroma.

I bit my lip and tried not to smile at the thought.

Geez, Vigor. Calm your shit down.

I go to the bathroom to have a quick shower.

As the water pours down on my body, scenes from the past started to invade my mind.

Even though I already finished showering and I'm in front of the mirror here in the sink now, I still can see the scenarios inside my head.

"You will not leave the Axlberm!"

"I will! I can!" she said. "And I will not look back."

My sight turned black and I didn't know what I did was the one that I will regret all my life.

I'm staring coldly at my reflection when that particular scene reminded me of the days that I was screaming in pain.

I inhaled and slowly exhaled to calm myself.

"This is just a beginning."

I walked out of the bathroom and she is still sleeping. When I saw how she hug a pillow, my face softened. My body relaxed as I smell her natural scent.

I closed the gap between us and kissed her forehead.

I walked through the closet and pull out some gray v-neck shirt and black above-the-knee shorts. I brushed my hair using my fingers and for the last time before I leave the room, I stared at her sleeping face.

I was going down the stairs when I saw Maysen on the last step of the staircase.

"Mukhang maganda ang gising natin ah." he joked.

I chuckled.

"Yow yow yow, chotto matte," he step closer to me and intently stared at me. "Have you had sex with her?"

I hit the back of his head. "Gago." I said as he flinched from the pain.

"What was that for?" he asked while massaging the area where my hand landed.

"Shut up. Baka marinig ka pa ni Naddie at kung ano na naman ang isipin." sabi ko at naglakad na papuntang gazebo.

While walking, Maysen beside me asked me. "Is she the real one?"

I stopped walking. "I know she is. I can feel it." I firmly stated looking straight.

"What if she's not? What if that gut feeling is just the effect of your longing for her?"

I didn't say anything.

What if he is right? What if I just see her resemblance to Zakia?

I didn't say any word and just continue walking until I can see the gazebo where the others are patiently waiting.
