Chapter 9

AhHhhHhH I'm so sorry for disappearing for over a month-
I hate school :(

Here's a new chapter and I'll try not to disappear again :3

( ๑ÒωÓ๑ )

After tidying up the ship as best they could, without having to go ashore, there was time for some much needed relaxation.

During the time when they were cleaning and fixing the Rising Sun, Andries and Félix had been bugging Archer about this play of theirs whenever they were able to talk to him alone. They had been throwing all kinds of different ideas at his head, until one of them stuck with the two idiots.

The idea was, quite frankly, the dumbest thing he had ever heard and he really wasn't sure where they got it from. It was definitely an improvement from the previous idea though. That one involved goats and being shirtless. He shuddered, he was not thinking about that particular image much longer.

Andries had long since given him the lines they wanted him to say. Luckily there were only a couple of them and the Dutch giant would do most of the things himself.

That didn't take away the nerves though.

The crew was his family and he knew they wouldn't make fun of him, but he was never one to loosen up like this.

He rolled his eyes, tugging on the jacket of his outfit. They had even gotten him into a horrible costume, since 'a play isn't a real play unless you really get into your role, Captain! Outfit included!'

He took a deep breath and made his way up to the deck, where his family was waiting for this spectacular play they had prepared.

Curse Andries and Félix for getting him to play along.

As he emerged from down deck he awkwardly took his place in the middle of the deck. Andries was already standing on the top of the left part of the stairs of the Quarterdeck, with a jar containing something in his hands, beaming down at him.

Félix was standing more to the right side of the ship with his arms crossed and a soft smile as he watched his boyfriend.

It seemed the two had managed to drag Caleb into this charade as well, as he came bouncing over to stand next to Archer, the biggest smile on his face. "Hi Captain! Are you ready? I'm a little nervous, but I think I'll be alright! I practiced very hard."

"I'm ready as I'll ever be, kid, I think you'll do great." Archer told the young man, smiling down at him and chuckling when Caleb's smile grew even bigger.

"Thank you!" He exclaimed, bouncing on his feet.

He turned to the crowd with a smile and spotted Evera standing on the side immediately. She was looking at him with a smug expression on her face. Archer felt the childish urge to stick out his tongue, but he was the Captain of this ship and that would be immature of him.

"Welcome to our amazing play!" Andries greeted everyone enthusiastically. "I would like for you guys to imagine that Félix is standing on a completely different ship and is an enemy of ours." Murmurs of affirmation were heard and Andries beamed at them. "Great!"

"Also, if the Captain raises his left hand," He gestured for Archer to demonstrate, which he did. "I want the right part of the crowd," He hummed as half of the crew obediently moved away from the others, splitting themselves in half. "To yell as if we were to attack another ship, alright?" Everyone nodded and they looked at Archer expectantly.
