What Is Love?

Y/n went home that night, and her father was passed out on the couch. Five beer bottles covered the living room table, and the TV blaring.

"Well, I guess tonight is gonna be peaceful." Y/n says, rolling her eyes.

She walks to her room, and throws her stuff on her bed. She digs through her bag, and pulls a bottle of Tylenol. She's been having headaches, and random nose bleeds lately.

She opens the bottle, and shoves two tablets in her mouth.

That night, she didn't have a nightmare. Usually she did. But tonight she didn't. Maybe because of the loud ass TV coming from the living room..

Anyway, she got ready for school, and walked out of the door.

"Hey.." Eddie said with a big smile.

"Did everything go okay last night..?" Eddie asked.

"Hey.. yeah, he was passed out." Y/n said with a chuckle.

"We're you waiting for me?" Y/n asked with a smirk.

"Well, yeah.. I wanted to know if you want a ride to school..?" Eddie asked.

"Awh, that would be nice!" Y/n said with a big smile.

They both hopped in his car, and drove to school. School wasn't to far, so they were there within minutes.

"So, we meet in the janitor closet at 3:30. You coming..?" Eddie asked.

Y/n turned around.. tick, pound.. tick.

The loud clock like sound again. Y/n felt like she was losing her mind. Maybe all the Tylenol..?

"Y/n..?" Eddie shook her shoulder.

"Oh crap.. yeah..?" Y/n said, snapping out of it.

"Hey, is everything okay? You've been acting weird.." Eddie asked, concerned.

"Yeah, I just have a headache.." y/n said with a frown.

"Okay, well let's go inside. Gotta get to class.. Ms. Perfect." Eddie said with a giggle.

...

"Y/n!!!" Chrissy came running up to y/n, giving her a hug.

"Hey, I called you last night.. did something happen with your dad again..?" Chrissy asked, concerned.

"No, no silly. I was just with a friend. I got home late." Y/n said with a smile.

"Friend..?" Chrissy asked.

"Mhm.." y/n said, lips pressed together.

The bell rang, and everyone went to their first period classes.

"Okay class, today we're going to talk abou-" the teachers voice fading out.

The world started to spin, and get dark. There were white particles floating in the air, and everyone disappeared.

What was happening? Was it a dream? Y/n stood up, and walked towards the classroom door. She walked out, and she appeared home.

She looked around. " Hey hun, how was school?" She heard her mom say.

"Mom..?" She asked, looking around. "Where are you?"

She walked towards the kitchen. "Mom?"

"Yes sweetie..?" She heard her mom say behind her.

Y/n turned around, only to see a man.. well, not a man, more like... A monster?

"Hi sweetheart." Said the being.

"Ah" y/n screamed lightly as she was awoken from the bell. She must have fallen asleep in class.

"What the hell was that..?" She though as she gathered her belongings, and headed to the bathroom.

She entered the restroom, and stood in front of the sink. She turned on the tap, and splashed cold water on her face.

She looked at herself, and sighed.

"Everything is fine." She told herself aloud.

...

At lunch, she couldn't eat. She just listened to the others talk about stupid shit, and basketball.

"Hey, you alright?" Asked Chrissy.

"Yeah, I'm fine!" Y/n answered with a fake smile.

"Okay.. well, there is a game later tonight. You gonna be there? Chrissy asked.

"Me.. oh.. no. I have other plans, sorry." Y/n answered while standing up, and throwing her food away.
