I stare blankly at my laptop screen where the credits with added vibrant colors were rolling, feeling really apathetic and unsure about what to do with my life at this point. As I was stuck in this mindset, the screen disappeared, revealing an average looking girl with messy, dark brown hair tied in a bun. I was a bit confused at first, but I soon remembered that I was spending this Christmas with her. I still haven't decided whether this is a good idea or not. Regardless, I was stuck with her and it was going alright so far.
"Are you dead?" Perry utter with a look of annoyance, concern and confusion on her face.
"Huh.... Wait what?" I stammered.
"Good to know that you're still alive," Perry commented with a small smile.
"Uh... I concur," I responded groggily.
"That's nice. So about the movie, we can agree that it's..."
"Crap?"
"Pretty mediocre... for a Disney movie."
"I know right, and it's kind of annoying since the main characters are Mexican again, like haven't they done this already?"
"Actually it's Colombian."
"What?"
"The main character and her family. They're Colombian."
"Oh... my bad."
"Don't worry about it. Aside from that, some of the music is just unnecessary and really fast."
"Agreed. I can't even understand what they're saying. Also there was not one song that stood out. I mean come on it's a musical and there should always be that one song that holds the film together. In Coco there was Remember Me. Moana, How far I'll go. Frozen Let it go. Frozen two... "
"No need to elaborate any further, I see your point..."
"Into the unknown."
"Are you done?"
"Yeah. Anyway, what is wrong with everyone bullying Bruno?"
"I think it's because his family don't see the good in his powers..."
"That's not an excuse to bully someone to the point where they have to isolate themselves from everyone else?"
"Fair point. I guess the Madrigal family are just..."
"Bigots. That's what they are."
"Isn't that a bit extreme?"
"Is it? I mean they treated Mirabel like crap just because she doesn't have any power. And do you know who's fault it is?"
"Calm down Fredrik. It's just a bad movie...."
"It's the freakin 'Abuelita. Why does she even deserve the stupid candle? Just because her husband died, does not mean that she is worthy of the candle...."
"What have I done?"
"There are so many more people who deserve these powers rather than her..."
"Fredrik..."
"Did I mention that there is literally no plot to this movie?"
"No. And I swear if you say anything else about Encanto, I will literally mute you. We both agreed that it wasn't a good film. But now it's time to move on from it, because I do not want to spend the rest of the night listening to you complain about the same thing over and over again."
"It's night there already?"
"Considering that I started talking to you at around six in the evening, yes."
