Part 10~First Dance

Sitting on his bed, Sly listened to the soft music from the great hall. Kevin stood in front of a mirror, patting at his brown hair and trying to get it under control. "Do I look okay?"

'You look the same.'

Kevin began pulling at his hair, pulling it in front of his eyes. "Is my hair okay?"

'It looks the same.'

Kevin huffed, biting his fingers. "Is my outfit okay? Is it too much?!" Kevin was terrified about that bit. He wasn't wearing a suit like the other boys. He was wearing a long dress. It was red in colour, a single slit up one side, revealing his red high heels that all matched the red fingernails. A silver necklace wrapped around his neck with clip-on earrings dangling from his ears.

Sly paused before the words appeared next to Kevin. 'You look fancy.'

Kevin scowled for a second before spinning around sharply. "But what if Wayne doesn't like me like this?! He likes guys. I am a guy but what if he doesn't like guys that dress like this?"

'It's Wayne.'

"You're not being very helpful, Sly," Kevin huffed, crossing his arms over his chest as Sly shrugged.

'That's apparent.'

"You should get changed." Kevin placed his hands on his hips, scowling as Sly huffed, rolling over.

'Do I have to?'

"Yes."

Sly groaned, rolling off the bed and grabbing the suit Kevin had given him. It was black with green details that apparently brought out his eyes. Kevin nodded in approval before leading Sly out of the room.

Sly very quickly decided he didn't like Kevin in high heels. He was too tall now.

Justin and Roger were waiting in the common room, both waiting in their suits. Justin's eyes widened, gaping in shock. "Kevin! What are you wearing?!"

"A dress," Kevin announced, putting on a fake front that was clearly wavering with each second that ticked past.

"Kevin?" Wayne stepped into the dorm, his eyes glued to Kevin, trying to take it all in. Kevin blushed, shuffling. He glanced up, waiting for Wayne to say something. He was not saying anything. Kevin lowered his head, his mind filling with bad thoughts.

Sighing, Sly decided he had enough. He jabbed Wayne's side, making him snap out of his stupor. 'If you don't say anything, I'll let Ama bite you.' Sly grinned as Ama hissed from his neck.

Wayne gulped, stepping forward and lifting Kevin's head. "You... You look amazing. So stunning, so..." He gently caressed Kevin's cheek, making him blush heavily under his gaze. "Beautiful."

Kevin smiled, leaning into his hand as he finally looked at Wayne. He had a tight-fitting suit on, black and white that hugged all the right places. "You look amazing yourself. Really handsome."

Wayne blinked, blushing as he registered the compliment.

Roger chuckled, watching the happy couple as he whispered something in Sly's ear. Sly titled his head, giving Roger a questioning look as Roger rolled his eyes, nudging Sly to make him do it.

Sly brought out his wand, waving it. Both Wayne and Kevin jolted in shock, bringing their hand in front of them and showing off the roses. Kevin smiled, gently putting the rose in Wayne's lapel.

Wayne lifted his lapel slightly, smelling the rose with a grin. He reached out, taking Kevin's hand as he slid on the rose bracelet.

Kevin smiled, linking their fingers together.
