Epilogue 1

Biting my bottom lip I give Nico puppy dog eyes. For the past 7 months we have been living together. Recently I haven't been able to bake in the bakery. It's always busy and Nico doesn't want me to put any strain on my body.

I told him I'm fine, but a couple weeks ago I dropped a cake all over the floor because I felt dizzy and sick. Then I had to stay in bed for two days. He's worried about me and thinks I should stay home my last few weeks of pregnancy. We know the birth date is soon, but we asked to keep the gender a secret. "Please Nico." I beg.

He shakes his head. "What happens if you slip and fall on one of those cakes you waste again?" He raises an eyebrow.

Shaking my head I narrow my eyes. "I just felt nauseous that day. Plus I caught myself on the counter."

As much as I could ignore the fact that he doesn't want me working right now and go anyway this isn't just my decision. If anything happens to the baby it will be on me if I didn't take precautions.

He shakes his head. "Ok just one more day. Then I'll take a break until our baby is born." I smirk knowing he won't disagree.

"Fine. Just be careful." He wraps his arms around me and kisses my forehead. Smiling I take my keys off the counter and make my way to the door. Before I make it out I feel something wet travel down my legs. When I look down my pants are soaked. "Shit."

"What?" Nico questions making his way over to me.

"My water broke." I turn my head and he looks panicked. "The baby is coming!"

He pulls his phone out of his pocket and puts his hand on my back in case I fall. "I'm gonna call an ambulance."

I nod and start breathing in and out to calm myself. My baby is coming. I can't believe this is happening. It feels like only yesterday when I found out that I was pregnant.

"Yes. I need an ambulance to ******************** my girlfriends water just broke." Nico says.

My baby starts to kick and a pain sweeps through me. "Mm. Tell them to hurry!" I says holding onto the door frame. Sweat starts to coat my face.

When the ambulance arrives Nico and I get driven to the hospital. I breath in and out as the contractions start to get worse.

"Gahh" I scream as another contraction hits. Nico holds my hand and I squeeze hard.

"We're almost there baby." He reassures.

Once we reach the hospital they get me out of the ambulance. Then they roll me in on a stretcher. After that they take me into a room. Nico stays with me the entire time.

It takes a while, but eventually I have to start pushing the baby out. The worst pain I've had all day is when I'm pushing so hard.

When my baby is out I let out a sigh of relief. "It's a boy." The doctor smiles at me.

Tears fill my eyes as my bloody crying baby looks around the room. The nurse cleans him off before wrapping him up in a blue blanket. She hands my child to me. As I hold my child in my arms. His eyes are a dark green just like his fathers.

"We just had a baby." Nico whispers. His eyes on our baby boy the entire time.

"I know." Our child moves around in my arms. When he looks at me he starts to smile. "Here." Holding our baby out to Nico he takes him from my arms. Holding him gently and not taking his eyes off of him.

"Our sweet Rowan." I say tiredly. Reaching over I caress the little hairs on top of his head.

Our little Rowans eyes start to flutter closed in Nico's arms. Nico and I look at each other and we both smile.

This is my first kid and as long as Nico is by my side I'm sure I won't panic as much. "Do you want to go to sleep? I've got Rowan if you want to rest." Nico asks.

Nodding my head I try not to doze off. "Yes. Wake me up though if he starts to fuss."

Nico leans over kissing me softly before rocking back in forth in his seat with Rowan. Watching Nico hold our child makes my insides do a back flip. He's so loving and it makes me fall even more for him.

My eyes close as I fall asleep.
