AFTER THE LONG RELAXING day with Tommy on the couch, it was time to get back in business. The day before, all they did was talk with the family or eat and drink together. No one did anything business related, but it was time for that now.
With a sigh, Lucrecia looked back to the Shelby man, who was still sleeping in his bed. A furrow was set on his face and his lips pursed, but she didn't know that this only happened, because she left his embrace.
The blonde woman was already ready for the day and already did her hair and make up. She patted down her black dress, which reached her knees and glanced at the man one more time. Lucrecia made her way over to him and kissed his cheek, leaving red lipstick on it, which made her smile slightly. Quietly she left the room and got her high heels out of her own room, before walking downstairs.
"Morning aunt Pol.", she greeted and put on her heels as she entered the kitchen.
Polly was sitting at the table with a cigarette and a cup of tea as she smiled at her,"Morning darling, you slept good, eh?"
Lucrecia chuckled at this, taking a cigarette from the table and lit it with a match. She took a deep drag and puffed out the smoke as Polly stared at her. "What is it, Pol?"
The elder woman merely shook her head and replied,"No, nothing.", she took a sip of her tea and asked quietly,"So you and Tommy are like before again? You know, considering you are sleeping in one bed."
Lucrecia groaned loudly as she leaned forward, her cigarette dangling between her painted red lips. "Don't try to set me up with him again, Pol. I know what you are thinking.", she said standing up and took an glass, pouring whiskey into it. "You are thinking about mine and his wedding, us having kids, while you know that he would never see me in such a way."
"You are drinking?", Polly asked, changing the subject, before she blurted out a secret and glanced at the time,"At this hour?"
Lucrecia rolled her eyes and sighed,"I have a meeting." She looked at her aunt to see her raised eyebrows and added,"It's with Mr.Black."
Polly chuckled at her and teased,"The multi-billionaire who is smitten with you?"
The blonde girl took a drag of her cigarette and pointed her glass at the woman,"You know how it is, Polly. I am irresistible."
Her aunt chuckled at her and waved at Lu as she exited the kitchen, only grabbing her purse. "Until later darling."
"See you later, aunt Pol.", she shouted and pulled the door close.
She huffed, looking at the still empty streets of Small Heath. With a sigh, she pulled out another cigarette, lighting it, before she walked down the streets of her kingdom.
IT WAS THREE HOURS LATER when Tommy's eyes started to stir at the bright light in his room. He frowned at the sun and moved slightly to the right, expecting to feel Lu's silky skin, but he was met with cold sheets. His frown deepened as he patted the space next to him, but she wasn't there. Lucrecia wasn't laying next to him.
