*Ten Years Later*
Ariela’s POV
“No Kylie don’t touch tha-” I half yelled at my 4 year old daughter Kylie. She is standing in the kitchen next to the stove she just touched even though I told her not to.
“Ahhh! Mummy my finger!” she shouted as she started to cry.
“Shh, darling it’s okay, c’mere.” I told her crouching down to her level and motioning for my daughter to come to me. She ran over and started crying into my shirt. I lifted her up and carried her to the bathroom running cold water on to her slightly burnt finger.
You must be thinking what kind of mother lets her child run around the kitchen when the stove is on right? Well, I have a perfectly good explanation for that. I was just putting my 4 month old son Jackson down for a nap when I realized Kylie had left the room. I had ran downstairs to see her dancing around the kitchen and her hand accidentally hit the stove so there, you can’t call me a bad mother now.
I put some lotion on Ky’s burn, placed her on the couch and went to go check on dinner. As I put the grilled cheese sandwich I made for Kylie on a plate, I heard crying. Ugh! Can they give me a break for like two seconds?! I rushed upstairs and found my 2 year old son Jeret balling his head off. I picked him up and hushed him back to sleep within minutes. I quickly went back down to the kitchen and gave Kylie’s plated sandwich to her.
I turned off the stove and started on the dishes. Just as I finished I heard a car pull into the driveway. Thank god! Liam’s home. I went upstairs and checked on my kids when the front door opened.
“Ariela I’m home!” Liam called to me.
“Daddy!” Kylie screeched and thank god the boys didn’t wake. I trotted downstairs to be met by my little girl giggling up a storm and Liam spinning her around in his arms. He put her down on the sofa to finish her lunch.
“How was work?” I asked him as I engulfed his toned body in a hug. He hugged me back and said,
“It was good, same old, same old. But, the boys and their families are coming over in about 5 minutes for our annual get together.” I groaned in response and he shut me up by kissing me. The boys had all given up their music careers and were now all working for the same place, Syco Records.
I broke the kiss and jogged up to my room to change. I stuck on a pair of black leggings and a plaid shirt, rolling up the sleeves and leaving my hair in its usual ponytail.
I walked back down to the living room to see my brother and his wife, Eleanor. With them were their cute 6 year old sons, and my nephews, Alexander and Noah. Alex has El’s brown eyes and brown hair since El and Lou both have it, and Noah has mine and Lou’s blue eyes and brown hair. They are almost identical twins and I love them to bits!
“Antie Ela!” Alex and Noah yelled racing over to give me a hug.
“Hey there boys, how are you?” I asked the bubbly little boys who released me from their grasp.
“Great!” I laughed at them and we walked over to be greeted by Lou and El. Soon after there was a knock at the door. I sauntered over and opened it to reveal Zayn, his fiancé Perrie, their 3 year old son Zachary and 1 year old son Michael. I opened the door wider so they could come in.
Behind them was Niall and his wife Amy, yes my best friend Amy, and their 4 year old son Matthew. Matthew immediately ran into the living room, he was very high in energy; I’m surprised how Ames and Nialler are keeping up. Soon we all gathered in the living room sitting down on different pieces of furniture and watched the kids play around having random little conversations between us parents.
