Requested on tumblr: Can you write an imagine about Cash's girlfriend reacting to his arm injury 😪🤧

"I'm so excited, it's been way too long since I've seen you in action." You said as you walked next to your boyfriend. It was true, you only attended two of the shows where he had matches. One was All Out in 2020, when FTR won the tag titles, the other was the Blood and Guts match a few months ago. Both of these nights were very stressful for you, for different reasons: for the first match, you had to calm Cash's nerves. He wouldn't admit it, but he'd always freak a little before matches, and this was a big one. The second match was stressful for you because well, even though you knew it looked worse than it was in reality, you just hated seeing him all bloody. After the match, it was him who had to calm your nerves.
So tonight, the match being a regular one, no stipulations whatsoever, it would finally be fun again to watch from ringside.

"About damn time, babe! I thought you got sick of seeing me in nothing but trunks." He joked as he bent his knee and twisted his lower leg so he could playfully kick your butt.
"Cash!!" You yelped and shoved him a bit. He just laughed and pulled you into his side while your arms moved around his torso.
"I'll put on a show for you tonight." He added as he winked at you. God, you loved this man so much, you thought to yourself as you made your way backstage to meet up with Dax.

You loved being around Cash's friends and fellow wrestlers, they often told you funny and embarassing stories about the two that they would never share. Hanging out with Wardlow and Shawn Spears had always been the most fun for you, so you stayed until you saw your boyfriend and his other 'other half' walking over to you in their ring gear.

"You better get going, or you'll miss our grand entrance!" Cash commented before kissing your forehead.
"Pffff, you two just walk out and look grumpy. Not much I'd miss. But oh well, I'll go." Satisfied with your teasing - both men's jaws dropped - you walked over to the backstage worker who guided you to your seat: Front row, hard camera, a bit to the side.
When FTR's music hit, you felt the butterflies in your stomach. You were beyond excited for your boys.

As they moved closer to the ring, Cash had to stifle his laugh. There you stood, booing them louder than anyone around you, even yelling a 'Cash Wheeler sucks!' as he walked past you. As response, he flipped you off before entering the ring.
Dax just shook his head at the two of you. He knew most people would never understand the kind of relationship you had or that this was your way of supporting them.

From the moment the match started, your eyes were glued to Cash. Watching him do what he loved so much was simply magical. Both him and Dax always joked that they didn't have flashy moves, but the way these two hit every Chop, every Uppercut or every Suplex with such concise precision left you speechless everytime.

Just as they prepared their double team action, Ortiz pushed Cash of the top rope...and then you heard your boyfriend curse. Loudly. You couldn't really see what was going on, you just noticed Doc Sampson being alert as Cash walked over to him, left hand pressed tightly on his right arm. When he knelt down and let the doctor check on it, you almost fainted. As soon as he let go of his arm, blood was gushing all over the place. They quickly pressed down on it again in attempt to stop the bleeding and started talking about what happened. In between, Cash looked over to you. He was actually trying to smile at you in order to show you he was fine, but failed miserably. He was shocked, and scared out of his mind as he processed what had happened. After a few more moments, they started walking backstage. You wanted to leave too, but Dax made you stop in your tracks . "What the hell happened?"
"I don't know, Dax, but he's bleeding like crazy." You tried to suppress a sob as your tears threatened to spill.
The bald man nodded at you and told you to meet him backstage.
When you did, you both quickly headed to the medical rooms, finding your boyfriend sitting on the stretcher, head hanging low as Sampson was stitching him up.

"Oh Honey." You whispered, which made him turn his head to look at you. He looked so pale it scared you. "Hey babe."
You quickly moved to sit next to him and held his other hand. "What happened?" You asked, both your man and the doctor. Cash explained he got stuck on something hanging from the turn buckle that kind of sliced him open. Then Doc Sampson told you that this was mainly a flesh wound, but there were also some nerves damaged which would take quite some time to heal and would affect his grip. He couldn't tell how long it would take to heal, and added some of the nerve damage could be permanent. Dax said some words of encouragement before leaving with the doctor so the two of you could have a private moment.

For a few minutes, none of you said a word, you just soothingly rubbed his back and held his hand.
"I'm sorry." Cash was the first one to speak up. You frowned in confusion. "For what, Honey? Getting injured? That's not your fault. It's noone's fault." You sighed. "How bad is it?"
He tried to reply, but only felt his eyes tear up. That was enough of an answer for you. You moved your hand up to his cheek, running your fingers over his beard before you kissed him softly.
"Don't worry, Honey, we'll get through this. Doc Sampson will show us what to do as physical therapy and we'll get it fixed in no time."
"What if we don't?"
"Cash, we made it work out when you had your mouth wired shut for two months straight. This arm won't stop us. You. You're Cash Wheeler, for fucks sake!"
He smiled at your little pep talk, weakly, but still.
"I thought Cash Wheeler sucks?"
You both chuckled. "Yeah, you wouldn't let me finish as you were too busy giving me the finger. He sucks at giving up was what I wanted to say."
He looked at you for a few seconds before passionately kissing you.
"I love you so much, Y/N."
"I love you too, Cash."

In that moment, he knew you were right, you would make it through this. Together, as you always did. And he wouldn't have it any other way.
