Requested on tumblr: I saw that you were doing requests and if possible could I request one about Dax Harwood? I don't see too many stories about him and think he's awesome. Maybe it could be about someone who works with him and appreciates all the little things he does and that he really is nice. You can write whatever you like and if you can't do this request, that's ok! I really like reading your work (:

You tried to fan some fresh air into your face, but it didn't help much. The Florida sun burnt down mercilessly as you set up the shirts at the merch stand outside Daily's Place. Your hair was sweaty and stuck to your forehead, and you were annoyed. Mostly with yourself, because for some odd reason, the shirts always came down from your display wall, no matter how hard you tried. You even got a ladder to put them up, and were now standing on it when you heard someone clear their throat underneath. When you looked down, your eyes met Dax Harwood's eyes. "Hi, can I help you, Dax?" Usually, there was a strict hierarchy within the wrestling world: Wrestlers, writers and production team, assistants and camera crew, and then at the bottom of the list: you, the backstage workers. But you soon learned that wasn't necessairly the case with AEW. Everyone talked to everyone, it was like a big family.
Still, not many wrestlers had ever talked to you, and when they did, it was mostly because they needed something. So you assumed this was the case here as well. But it wasn't...
"I've noticed you struggle a bit with hanging those shirts. Mind if I help?" He said while smiling up at you. Although you wanted to say no to him, that smile
made you change your mind. You got down from the ladder, so he could try and fix your problem. Before he got up, he handed you a bottle of water. "Here, drink. It's important to stay hydrated in this fucking Florida heat."
You blankly stared at him while he made his way up the ladder, completely taken by surprise by his behavior. You even forgot to thank him for the water.
He had put up the shirts in no time, and came down to stand next to you, following your gaze upwards. "Is it okay like that?" He asked while he put his hands on his hips. "Perfect. Thank you." You smiled at him, and when his expression matched yours, you noticed his dimples for the first time. Adorable.
Then, he nodded at you and dismissed himself, but not before telling you once again to please drink enough.
Your eyes followed him until he was out of sight. Who would've guessed Dax Harwood was such a nice guy...

The box you carried was way too big for you. You couldn't even see where you were going. But still, your colleague insisted on you getting the task done. So you stumbled through the hallway, peaking around the box every other second so you wouldn't bump into something, or worse, someone. When you finally arrived outside at the production van, and delivered the huge object, you heard a kid crying. As your eyes scanned the area, you finally found the girl who had been crying...and Dax. He knelt beside the little one and talked to her. She vigorously wiped her eyes and then nodded. Dax took her hand and walked in your direction. When he noticed you standing there, he nervously looked around. "Hey Y/N. Little Sarah here has lost her mom, who works in catering. Do you mind coming with us? I am not the most trustworthy looking adult, so people might think I..." You stopped him right there.
"Sure thing, Dax. I'd love to come along with you and Sarah. I was heading to catering anyways for my break." So the two of you brought the child back inside, where her mom was already freaking out because she lost her daughter. She thanked the two of you about a thousand times within five minutes and then insisted she get you both a coffee and a special lowcarb dessert - a new one she'd been working on. You nervously looked at Dax, but he just grinned in your direction, and motioned for you to follow him to one of the tables. You were sipping on your coffee before you spoke.
"Sooooo, how's Cash been? Is he healing alright? That was a freak accident with that damn hook." You initiated a conversation with him. "He'll be alright. I'd say about two or three more weeks, then he's ready to compete again. He's a tough cookie, you know." You smiled at his comment. "That's good to hear, I miss seeing you guys in action."
"Oh, an FTR fan? Those are rare." He chuckled lowly while you just shook his head. "Well, you make it hard for people to root for you." He laughed at that before replying. "Then why do you like us? Enarmoured by Cash's charm?"
You simply shrugged. "Meh, I'm more a Dax Harwood girl."
His playful smile dropped from his face and you noticed his cheeks turning a soft shade of pink. He was completely flustered and caught off-guard, and for a second, he thought you were kidding. But when he looked in your eyes, he knew you were sincere. And it made his heart skip a beat.
