Chapter 6

Third person POV

Katherine dashed outdoors, next to the pool, to soothe Ethan, who was still wailing. It's most likely because he's hungry. As she's not used to meeting new people, she was still breathing heavily. She is also socially anxious, therefore she prefers to attend small gatherings. But everyone was looking so intimidating right now that she was frightened.

"Calm down, I'll be right here... "Shhh, shhh," . She continued to whisper to Ethan in a soothing voice.

He eventually settled down. That's when she noticed Andre approaching them.

"Hey, little one,". Andre hugged her and spoke quietly. Due to envy, Ethan shrieked loudly as he saw his elder brother embracing his sister.

"Hey, man, she's my sister too." Andre murmured, pretending to pout.

"Yayaya...yaya," Ethan babbled back, God alone knows what he meant.

"Come on, little one, it's getting cold out here." Andre stated as he wrapped his arm around her.

They entered the dining room and sat down. Alexandro was the one who introduced her to everyone.

"This is my only daughter, Katherine, and this is Ethan, my youngest son."

"Good evening,". Katherine spoke in a hushed tone.

Everyone else greeted her as well. Valerie, on the other hand, complimented her, adding, "You're so beautiful darling." Making Katherine blush.

Enzo laughs and says, "Obviously, she's my twin." Andre whacked the back of Enzo's head, making Katherine pout and scowl at Enzo.

Katherine called their maid, Marta, and requested that she bring Ethan's baby chair and some applesauce.

Ethan pouts when Katherine places him in his baby chair. Everyone in the room cracked up laughing. She begins to eat her dinner while simultaneously feeding him his applesauce.

Everyone else was conversing with one another. Katherine, on the other hand, was simply minding her own business. Chris gazing at her made her feel incredibly intimidated, which she was not used to.

Ethan sat on Katherine's lap almost the whole dinner, attempting to get a mouthful of her ice cream while she was eating it.

Valerie was surprised by her daughter-in-law's silence and proceeded to question her. "What do you do, my darling?"

"I, uhh, have my own jewellery and cosmetics business." I also do modelling and acting." She spoke softly, stuttering slightly.

"Well, I'd love to watch one of my daughter-in-law's films someday." Valerie replied, her face lit up with a wide smile.

"Huh" "What did you just say?" "What did she just say?" Katherine, Andre, and Enzo all spoke up at the same time.

The entire 'Evans' family was staring at them with their mouths gaping. Chris, on the other hand, realised that Alexandro had kept the arrangement hidden from his family.
