Chapter 13

Katherine’s POV

After the vows, I had assumed we would have some time to ourselves. I would get to say goodbye to my family. However, I am too mentally worn out to argue with anyone right now. I just assumed we wouldn't head straight to his house. I'm saying I'm hungry. Does he not consume food at all?

It's very uncomfortable in this outfit. The veil seems so hefty, and I feel like my shoulder is being poked. Who makes these selections?

Waitttt!! My clothes are not in his place. What am I going to put on?

Will I have a room of my own? I mean, it only seems fair in light of what he did to me. If he doesn't, I'll kick him in my sleep so hard that he won't ever want to sleep with me again. Yess!!! This is a wonderful idea.

As soon as we arrived at his house. I was left dumbfounded. First of all, it was a mansion rather than a house. It was really lovely. It didn't feel overpowering and felt like home. Despite how small it appeared to be, it was enormous within. I would probably get lost far too frequently.

I missed Chris opening the car door for me since I was too busy in ogling the exterior. I stepped out of the car while holding his hand. He took me inside the mansion after placing one of his hands on my lower back. The interior of the mansion was really stunning. However, the entire interior was dim and quite warm. Although it was modern, the architecture had a colonial, Victorian feel to it.

I followed him up to his room. This was far darker than the home's interior as a whole. Fully black and simultaneously futuristic and Victorian, this space. They must have a really skilled architect. Surely this mansion cost a fortune.

But why is his room so dark when the entire house is so gorgeous with its many hues and accents? With all due respect, I don't like it
