Marta entered the room just as Katherine was ready to leave the room after dressing Ethan. "Mrs. Romano requested that I come and bring him to the hotel with a driver because everyone else had already left." Marta said. Katherine nodded and walked away, handing Ethan to her.
She took a deep breath and fought back tears. Katherine didn't want to weep and destroy her two-hour-long make-up. She took it gently down the stairwell, attempting to avoid falling owing to her gown and shoes. Katherine's gaze wandered as she came down the steps, and she noticed Chris leaning against the main entrance, obviously waiting for her. When she saw him, a part of her believed Zayn would come and save her.

She took a step down. She approached Chris, who extended his hand to her. She took his hand in hers and the two of them strolled out of the home, driving away to their destination. Along the way, no one said anything. Chris, on the other hand, was attempting to look away from her since she was so stunning.
They arrived at the hotel where the ceremony was held after fifteen minutes. Katherine was astounded by how elegant and lovely everything looked. As they walked into the main hall where everything was going on, all eyes were on them. Everyone was commenting on how lovely Katherine is. They both strolled up to the table where the whole 'Evans' and 'Romano' families were seated, sipping champagne and conversing. Chris and Katherine, as much as they didn't want to accept it, looked fantastic together. They all got to their feet and exchanged hugs and greetings. Katherine went to Valerie to thank her for the gorgeous clothing she had chosen for her."Oh my, I didn't pick out this dress, Chris did," Valerie replied with a proud mum look. Katherine was taken aback by this news since she had not expected Chris to go shopping for her and wondered how he knew her size.
They all sat at the table, conversing and drinking refreshments. They all started slow dancing after dinner. Chris got to his feet and took Katherine's hand in his, leading her towards the dance floor. Chris clasps her waist with both hands and pulls her closer to him. She couldn't figure out where she should put her hands, so she kept them on his chest. Katherine was completely flushed. When she turned back, she noticed that both of their parents were dancing as well. After dancing for over fifteen to twenty minutes. Silas and Valerie made their way to the front of the stage. Silas drew everyone's attention by clicking a knife on his glass.
"Today, we've gathered all of you for an engagement ceremony honoring the future Mr. and Mrs. Evans. "I'd like to welcome my son Chris and Katherine to the stage." Chris extends his hand to Katherine to help her in walking up to the stage. They walked up to the front of the stage. Chris kneels on one knee with the ring in his hand. He brought out a black velvet box containing a ring with a large stone that shone brightly in the bright light. He waited for Katherine to respond before looking at her. With tears in her eyes, she mumbled a "yes," eliciting applause from the audience. Chris removed the ring from the box and placed it on her ring finger. Their families came and hugged them. Andre and Enzo worked hard not to reveal their anger.

They're all attempting to seem regular, as if they're not actually in the mafia.Almost every attendee comes to congratulate them and take photos with them. After everyone has settled in, the 'Evans' and 'Romanos' take their seats on the stage. Then Valerie and Silas made an announcement. "We'd want to honor our new daughter-in-law with this present from the family to welcome her into the family."
Katherine approaches them with a fake smile that only a few people can detect. Silas and Valerie adorned her with a necklace that matched her earrings. They then wrapped her wrist with a bracelet that matched her engagement ring. Valerie then approaches Katherine and whispers into her ear. "This was Chris' grandmother's, and when I married into the family, it was passed down to me." Katherine's eyes widened when Valerie stated that.

After a while, everyone began to go. They chose to have the wedding three weeks later. To have enough time to prepare all that is required. Finally, when Katherine gets home, she swiftly changes her clothes and removes all of her jewellery, which she neatly stores in a box. She continued shifting and twisting in her bed all night. She kept her gaze fixed on the large ring on her left hand. She finally fell asleep after an hour or two.
Chris, on the other hand, kept thinking about how she would be all his in three weeks.
