I used to be somebody tmnt the last ronin

6-cheering Leo up

Donnie and I walk upstairs and into Leo's room. Raph is already there.  He was talking to Leo who wasn't really doing much. 

I felt really sad seeing Leo like this.I felt bad for Leo. I hated Karai. That mean girl ,Leo loved her and she kissed another man!

"Hes still not doing much is he?" Donnie asked. He sat down onto Leos bed. I climbed up to. All four of us are on the bed now. 

"Nope." Raph says." Still moping" He smirks leaning on Leo who is wrapped up in blankets laying down. The sight made my stomach churn. It makes me sad to see any of my brothers like this.

"Guys." Leo says moaning a little." Go away I dont feel well." He rolls over. He's facing away from us. "And thats why we're here!" Raph says. He leans on Leo. Leo groans again. 

I feel like this is when I was little.. About 11 years old. The first time Karai betrayed us. We stayed on Leos bed with him for hours and hours. Even went to sleep with him. The next day he was much much better. Im sensing a bit of a pattern here. 

"yeah Leo." I say."You need to get better so you can take care of us."  Something I said way back when. He peeked over his shoulder at me. I smile doing a funny face and wave. 

"Dont you have to cook dinner?" Leo asked. 

I roll on my back. " Nah were kinda low on food. Cant really cook anything." I pull my phone out and go to my Uber eats app. "You guys down for burgers?"  I look to the others.

" Yeah!" Donnie says. 

"Yes!" Raph exclaims as well. 

Leo groans not even moving. I smile. 

"Alright." I say. I order some burgers from the burger place nearby. A few minutes later I hear the door bell ring. I smile looking to them. " Dont you go anywhere guys. Ill be right back." 

I come back a few minutes later. Raph is encouraging Leo to get up again.I sit down on the bed with the burgers. " Hey guys, time for food." 

Donnie and Raph gather around and get their burgers. I take a burger from the bag and hand it to Leo. He doesnt move so I just lay it next to him. I then pulled out the last one. Mine. 

I dont know how much time passed 

thirty minues

an hour 

hour and a half. 

We sat and talked and ate burgers. It made me feel happy. Just  turtle brothers being brothers. I like it when this happens. Eventually we finish and  I go to collect garbage.  I turn to see if Leos done. 
There was an empty burger wrapper. Leo is also slightly moved. I smile. Leos already feeling better. I go throw the trash away and  got some homework I had to finish. I went back into the room and sat. 

Im reading 1984 for school. Its kinda boring and wordy. But I gotta do it. Im reading part of a chapter when I come across something.. familiar. 

"Hows that book going?" Donnie asks me. He looks over my shoulder. I look back. 

" Good its kinda boring." I reply not taking my eyes of the book. I smile. 

" Ahh not all of them are pleasures." Donnie says. "It was boring for me to." 

"I kinda recognize this." I say. "This nursery rhyme. " 

Donnie leans in. Its that nursery rhyme about all the old churches of London way back when. 

"Oh!" Donnie says. "You know what lil bro? This used to be your favorite song when you were little." He smiles. I put the book down to intrigued into this. 

"It was?" I asked. I dont remember much from when I was very little. So I like listening to stories about it." 

"Ah yes." Raph  joins in "How'd it go again?" I Look back in the book.I skim the lyrics of the rhyme and gently sing. 

" Oranges and Lemons say the bells of St Clement's 

You owe me three farthings say the bells of St. Martins

When will you pay me? Say the bells of Old Bailey.

When I strike it rich say the bells of St. Shoreditch. " 

Thats all they have in the book.

" When will that be? say the bells of of stephny" Donnie chimes in the song seems to be coming back to me." 

" I do not know. says the bells of bow."

Raph joins in for the last line. 

"Here comes a candle to light you to bed.Good night sweet child. Rest your tired head." 

All of us smile finishing. I have completely put my book down. I am to far into this moment. Leo is slightly sitting up, but not much. "Heh. we must have hundreds of videos singing that song when we were little." 

I smile." Ahh now I remember." 

"Speaking of resting your head." Leo says." I think its time for ours." 

I smile again.

"Sleepover." Raph says. "Go on you two go get your pajamas on!" 

"We cant." Donnie replies. " Leo might lock us out." 

"Ill stay here and make sure he don't" Raph says. Donnie and I rush and get our pajamas on and rushed back.Then Raph went to put his on. Leo was sitting all the way up now! 

All lay down next to Leo. So Donnie sits on the other time. When Raph returns he lays infront of Leo. 

"You guys aint gonna leave me alone any time soon huh?" Leo asks. 

"Nope." we reply. 

"alright." he says.

"Good night Donnie." Raph says 

"Goodnight Raph." Donnie says. "Goodnight Mikey" 

"Goodnight Don." I reply keeping the chain going. "Goodnight Leo" 

"Goodnight Mikey." Leo replies. He pulls all of us closer together. 


I think Leo feels better now.
