Sorry for taking so long to update the story. I made this chapter extra long, though.
So enjoy.
...
Mothiva let out a loud grunt from behind the wagon, where she was pushing.
"Ugh...how far away did you say this town was?" she asked, panting. "By the way, I thought Leif was supposed to be pulling the wagon!"
"You're just so good at pushing," Leif said. "I can't let that potential go to waste."
Vi, who was also pushing from the back, turned to Mothiva and said, "I thought that the town was close to a mile away. I don't know, though. Flying makes measuring distance kinda weird."
"If it were just a mile away, I feel like we would've been there by now," Mothiva grumbled.
"Just keep going," said Vi. She looked at Kabbu laying in the wagon. "We gotta get this big guy to town as fast as we can."
"We've been walking for like, half an hour," Mothiva said. "Pretty sure we would've traveled a mile in that time."
Vi thought for a second. "Alright, give me a second."
She let go of the wagon and shot up into the sky.
"Hey!" shouted Mothiva from below. "Where the heck do you think you're going!?"
Vi ignored Mothiva and kept flying up. Once she was decently high in the air, high enough to get a good view of the land, she squinted to try and see the town. It was right over a near sand dune.
"Oh!" Vi said in surprise.
"Did you say something!?" Mothiva screamed from below. "Leif! Did she say something!?"
Leif rubbed his ear. "Maybe we should just wait...y'know, until she comes down.
Mothiva rolled her eyes in response.
Vi flew down in a spiraling motion. It wasn't the safest method of descent; it was fast though. Vi barely avoided crashing into the ground.
"The town is right over that sand dune!" she said excitedly.
"Alright," Leif said. "We're almost there."
And so Leif, Vi, and Mothiva continued pushing and pulling the wagon over the steep dune until they could see the small town.
"Hey!" Mothiva shouted. "There it is!"
"Yeah, that's it!" Vi shouted back. "Ooh! When we settle down, there's a drink I have to show you. It's so good!"
"Oooh, what's it called!?"
"Uhh...I forgot," Vi said. "It is really good though. I think it has lemons in it or something."
"Lemons? In a drink?"
"I know, right? It's weird."
"Gals?" Leif interrupted from the front of the wagon. "Before we drink anything, we should really get Kabbu there."
"I mean, the town is just downhill," Mothiva said.
"And Kabbu's in a wagon..." Vi pitched in.
"We are not rolling Kabbu down the hill."
"What's the worst thing that could happen? That guy has taken way worse hits," Vi said.
"I'm just not crazy about the idea of rolling an unconscious guy down a hill, is all," Leif said.
