The wind blew gently as she landed on the solid surface of the roof, tilting her head to hear the voice of her partner. He stared intently at the scenery below, watching the fire soldiers scatter around like maggots trying to find their bearings. His lip was curved downwards in a disgruntled expression and he tapped his gloved fingers rhythmically onto the concrete edge. Everything about him was displeased.

"What a shame. I had to save you again," He spoke lowly, strands of hair flowly gently across his forehead.

"Are you getting tired of being my hero?" Her giggle escaped her bruised lips as she twirled a piece of her disheveled hair, gazing at the man sitting beside her on the building they were currently perched on.

He clicked his tongue, looking the blond in her raisin colored eyes with minimum interest.

"Heroes don't exist. Only demons and monsters who can do nothing but hurt people," He mumbled coldly with a dull look. "You of all people should know that, Sakai... Considering what happened to you."

Sakai pursed her lips, another sick smile etched on her face almost teasingly. She tip toed across the edge of the roof to her partner, grabbing the muted dark purple strands of his hair roughly before tilting his head back.

"You must not love that tongue of yours. Didn't mother teach you manners, Ta-da-shi?" She sung his name in a dark and threatening voice, stretching out the syllables as he looked to her with little fear. The eye bags under his eyes added to his tired and bored look which pissed Sakai off even more. "Don't speak about what happened to me!"

She growled, holding her blade up to Tadashi's neck and slowly tracing the skin there with the dull side of the knife. "Your pretty face wasn't there so keep your pretty mouth shut before I cut it. Is that clear?"

Her narrowed skull eyes shined with malice as she pressed the knife deeper into his skin, careful not to draw blood. His golden eyes locked onto hers and for a moment, he almost considered throwing her off the roof. Almost, but he knew better than to do that.

Mother would be upset if I injured a sibling, let alone kill one. Though, she could always find a new one, I suppose.

With his mind at rest, Tadashi only hummed which seemed to be enough for his companion as she released his hair and smiled brightly again.

"Great!" She chirped, clasping her hands together by her face and clutching her weapon.

Tadashi only sighed at her erratic behavior before turning back towards the city, not bothering to entertain Sakai's madness. He swore him and Yethen were the only sane ones...

Sakai looked back to her bore of a partner. "Alright, play times over. Let's hurry up and ditch this place before we miss curfew."

Maki would probably save you with... what was her thing? Maybe you should of interacted with her more, she seemed like a nice person.

Would iris be sad if you died? I mean you only met the other day, but the imagine of her somber face and sad ocean eyes couldn't leave your head.

You barely knew them. You barely made an effort to get to know them. Why couldn't you be like Katsumi and connect with everyone you came across?
