"Miss Porter, I want to go over this one more time, if that's okay?"

Nine-year-old Kaitlynn Porter strengthened her grip on her stuffed animal, a black bear with a missing eye and arm. Her Aunt Caroline put an arm around her niece's shoulders pulling her closer. They had been in the police station for hours, sitting in the same interrogation room. Caroline had been genuinely surprised at her niece's demeanor. She'd been expecting tears, uncontrollable sobbing leading into borderline hysterics. Instead, she sat stoically staring down at her stuffed bear, Caroline had lost count of how many times she had asked to fix it. Each time Kait would say no, he was perfect as is.

"Detective, my niece needs rest, is this really necessary?" Caroline demanded.

"I understand that it's getting late Ms. O'Callahan, it's best to go over the details when they are fresh in the mind." Detective Christian Keller turned his attention back to Kaitlynn. "I like your bear; does he have a name?"

"Kurt." She answered, her voice soft.

"Was Kurt with you tonight?" He asked, she nodded.

"Good, I'm glad you had someone with you, it can be hard to endure such scary things alone. Is it okay with Kurt if we talk about what happened?"

"It's okay." She said quietly.

"Thank you, sweetheart. Let's start at the beginning." Detective Christian brought out his notepad filled with the notes he'd already taken.

"I was on the phone with my friend." She began staring down at her bear.

"Spencer Charnas, right?" He wanted to make sure the details were correct.

"We were talking about our science project, mommy told me it was time to go to bed. I said goodbye and went to put the phone away."

"That's when someone knocked on the door?"

"Daddy got angry, there'd been a lot of pranks in the neighborhood. Kids doing awful things like leaving bags of flaming shit on the front porches."

"Kaitlynn!" Caroline exclaimed.

"What happened next?" He asked.

"When daddy opened the door there was a man standing there. He said his pager died and wondered if he could use our phone. His car had broken down and he needed to call for a tow. Dad told him we didn't have one, I was standing on the stairs holding it in my hands."

"Is that when the man attacked your father?"

"He said it was wrong of him to lie in front of his daughter. Daddy grabbed his baseball bat he kept by the door threatening that if he didn't leave, he'd bash the bastards head in. The man just laughed, said he wouldn't be quick enough to use it and that's when he stabbed him. I heard my mommy scream. I gripped the phone tightly and ran."

"What happened next?"

"I ran to my room and locked the door. I grabbed my backpack, put the phone and Kurt inside and climbed out the window. My daddy keeps a ladder hidden on the side of the house for emergencies. I climbed down and ran to the backyard hiding in my daddy's toolshed.

"Were you and Kurt alone?"

"The man who visited my house also visited Spencer's. He got scared and ran to my dad's shed. We hid in the back being as quiet as possible. We hung onto each other being as small as we could be."

"When did you call 911?"

"We heard screaming coming from the next-door neighbor's house. The man thought we had hidden by them. Spencer and I made the call together."

"You are a very brave young lady Kaitlynn." Detective Christian smiled. "Do you remember what the man looked like?"

"I couldn't see his face; he was wearing a hood." She shook her head.

"What about his voice? Do you remember what it sounded like? Did he sound angry or upset?"

"He sounded normal." Kaitlynn bit her lip, unsure if she had given the detective the right or the wrong answer.

"You did an amazing job sweetheart. If you think of anything else you tell your aunt and she will call me." Detective Christian handed Caroline his card.

"Thank you, are we done here?" Caroline asked.

"Yes ma'am, I will have a social worker get in touch with you in the morning to begin the custody arrangements." Detective Christian stood up making his way over to the door.

Four murders all on the same block, all eye witness accounts described the assailant as a man with a hood over his head asking to use their phone because his car had broken down. This psycho had orphaned two children. Detective Christian Keller vowed to find them and bring them to justice no matter the cost.

With an arm around her niece's shoulder Caroline walked Kaitlynn out of the interrogation room. The weather had taken a turn for the worse as it typically did in Massachusetts especially in the winter months. She knelt down, tucking Kait's hair behind her ear.

"I am going to get the car all nice and warmed up for us and then we'll spend the night at a hotel, sound good?"

Kait nodded walking over to one of the chairs in the waiting room. She held Kurt tightly her eyes glued to the hallway. Spencer would be coming out soon, he had to. She would not leave without saying goodbye. He emerged a few minutes later, running straight over hugging Kait tightly.

"I don't want you to go!" He cried out.

"I don't want to go either." She admitted. "What if we never see each other again?"

"We will always find each other, no matter what. Pinky promise?" He held up his pinky finger.

"Pinky promise." She wrapped her pinky finger around his sealing their unbreakable promise.

"Car is all warmed up Kaitie, let's go." Caroline stood at the entrance to the station.

Kaitlynn felt her pulse starting to race. What if the hooded man was out there right now? Watching and waiting for her to walk out of the building and finish the job? She moved instinctively closer to Spencer her body beginning to tremble.

"I want to stay here with Spencer." She said firmly.

"Kaitlynn Juniper Porter, we are leaving. Let's go!" Caroline commanded.

"No! The hooded man is still out there I don't want to leave!" She cried out. Caroline's patience with her niece was beginning to wear thin. One of the many reasons why she joined the military leaving the family life to her sister. She walked over, kneeling down in front of her niece grabbing her arm.

"When I say it is time to go young lady, it is time to go!" She hissed into her ear, hoisting her up and onto her shoulder.

"NO! I DON'T WANT TO GO! LET ME GO PUT ME DOWN!" Kaitlynn screamed tears streaming down her face.

"LET HER GO!" Spencer shouted.

"Kaitlynn Juniper Porter, that is enough! You are embarrassing me, let's go!" Caroline growled, shoving Kaitlynn's stuffed animal into her backpack making her way towards the door.

"NO! PUT ME DOWN! THE HOODED MAN IS STILL OUT THERE! I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE! SPENCER HELP ME!" Kait screamed, fear lancing her heart.

"LET HER GO! SOMEONE STOP HER! KAITIE!" He cried out running after her his fingers just brushing hers before the doors to the station shut, his best friend disappearing in a whirlwind of white.

A/N: I present to you, my first Wattpad Exclusive fan fiction. After seeing the Trinity of Terror tour, I was inspired to write an Ice Nine Kills fan fiction featuring the boys of Motionless in White and Black Veil Brides. With that being said I want to make this point clear. I do not own the band members featured in this story. I own the original characters featured. Not every member is going to be in the spotlight. I will do my best, but I can make no promises.

I hope you all enjoy this opening chapter. I will do my best to get the others typed up and posted on my update days which will always be Fridays.
