I was on the verge of losing my best friend.

Right after the Ice Nine Kills set my plan had been to talk to Spencer. I wanted to tell him what really happened between Chris and I. I also wanted to fill him in on what Josiah and I discussed. He walked right off stage vanishing into the shadows without even so much as a goodbye. I buried my tears deep inside. He made his deal for us and I made mine for the same reason. I went back towards the merch area getting tackled by Nadine and Kambria.

"Girl, I don't know what you did, but thank you!" Nadine squeezed me tightly.

"I kept my promise." Kambria smiled at me. "We are standing united, refusing to break in the fiery infernos of Hell."

"That is good news to hear, now I'm going to need your help once more if you're up for it." I looked at each of them in turn.

"After all you've done for us Cap, we're with you." Amias nodded.

"Then let's start strategizing team!" I take a seat.

The six of us, alongside Johnny and Josia went over different plans searching for just the right approach. We decided the next venue would be our stage for the final showdown. My aunt had also been stationed in Wisconsin during the winter months. Her wrath in those months made even the devil turn a blind eye. While my crew headed out to the SUV, I headed towards the Ice Nine Kills bus. Joe let me in the four of them casted a sideways glance at the backroom. I walked towards it shivering at the freezing cold aura that radiated off the wood.

I opened it slowly, slipping inside the room itself felt like an icebox. Spencer sat on the couch his shirt covered in blood. His eyes the frightening black they had been before he consumed Paul. I'd noticed the subtle changes he was losing himself to the beast inside. I stepped towards him getting slammed against the wall.

"What. Did. You. Do?!" Spencer hissed.

"What I had to." I choked out. "Spencie, please let me go. I can't breathe!"

"Dev told me you kissed him, the man who selected our parents to die! For what?! Does your soul mean so little to you?!" He strengthened his grip.

It's not going to mean anything to her if she's dead Charnas, let her go.

He dropped me to the ground lashing out at the mirror where Dev's voice came from. I started coughing, gasping for air trying to understand why he was becoming unhinged now. I staggered to my feet grabbing Spencer's hand locking eyes with him.

"I didn't bargain my soul away. Chris was in control the whole time. We brought my crew back from the pits of Hell. We found a way we can end this once and for all. I know that doesn't justify what I did." I squeezed his hands flinching at the glass shards digging into mine. "I love you Spencer, I know you can't see yourself right now but I'm terrified that I'm losing you. Come back to me, come home."

He closed his eyes taking and releasing several deep breaths. The room went back to normal temperature, his uninjured hand reached up cradling my cheek. Spencer Charnas was not known for shedding a tear. In that moment he rested his forehead against mine tears falling silently down his face.

"I was so afraid I had lost you." He whispered his voice coming out strangled.

"I would never leave you." I kissed him putting as much passion into it as I could. He kissed me back holding me tightly against him.

"Care to tell me about this master plan of yours?" He raised an eyebrow.
