Mirae reluctantly stepped outside. The heat was unbearable, and the humidity seemed to coat everything in a thin film.
Mirae left only for a few minutes to grab groceries for the next two weeks, and prepared to head back.
She paused upon hearing a strange noise inside her house. Mirae set down her groceries and picked up a large stick nearby. Her door creaked loudly as Mirae opened it slowly.
Inside, a fluffy brown mass shot past Mirae, licking her shoes. A dog.
"Where on Earth did you come from," Mirae mumbled. She hadn't petted a dog in ages, much less let one into her home.
Reluctant to turn the dog back to the streets, Mirae searched for a collar, or some sort of identification. Nothing.
Mirae then noticed a few loose papers scattered around.
"Did you do this?" She scolded. Looking around, she saw old and new lines, scripts from eons ago and just the week before.
"Hm."Ruffling the dog's fur, she picked up a pen. Mirae had a few ideas.
