Benjamin didn't know what he expected from summoning a demon, but he didn't think the creature would snap his fingers and a table with two chairs would simply appear in his bedroom. Now, the two of them were sitting in silence, the creature sipping on some drink as Benjamin nervously looked around the room. The candle was still lit, sitting on the table.
But he stared at the creature again. He looked normal, just like any other man. Except he was much too beautiful to comprehend, and the way his clothes looked... he seemed noble. Like the demon wasn't a demon, but something more angelic and enticing. His features seemed like the epitome of perfection, there wasn't a single flaw. And Benjamin wondered if that silver hair of his was actually real. It was too striking not to notice.
It made Benjamin more flustered than he'd like to admit.
But even though the demon was beautiful, Benjamin was scared of his red eyes. They held no malicious intent. In fact, there was hardly any expression at all besides tiny curiosity.
"It's almost been a millennium since I've been summoned. This is the first time I was called upon by a mortal directly," the demon murmured out gently. Like before, it was pleasant to hear. It was almost addicting for Benjamin. "Who are you?"
"Benjamin..."
The demon sat his cup down and frowned. Benjamin forced himself not to flinch at his cold face. "You don't seem very energetic. Most humans would freak out."
Would they really? Benjamin honestly had no idea who he summoned.
"Who are you?"
The demon tilted his head. "I've been called various things, but my Creator named me the bringer of dawn, the Morningstar. Looking back at it now, it was quite embarrassing."
Benjamin revealed his fear when the demon gave up his identity.
Lucifer.
How the actual fuck did Benjamin manage to summon the devil himself?
Seeing him grow pale in the face, the devil's frown grew heavy. He knew what Benjamin was thinking. The majority of the humans think of him as some sort of grotesque creature with abnormal features, and large horns with bat wings. He supposed it wasn't wrong for them to think like that, but then again, he did think the one who'd summon him would be more... impressive.
The child sitting across from him had a terrible expression and dead eyes. His hair was choppy and stuck out in weird places, and he kept fidgeting around with his hoodie. Benjamin looked sick. He wasn't healthy like teenagers should be.
"How did you summon me?"
Benjamin set the book on the table. Lucifer took a glance at it, not really recognizing the book and ended up pushing it back to Benjamin. If he doesn't know it, he might as well pretend not to care about it. He'll deal with the book some other time later.
"You don't want this book?" Benjamin cautiously asked. He thought the devil would want something like this since he did summon him.
Lucifer ignored the question and asked instead, "You've summoned me. What do you want from me?"
He could tell the child wasn't very greedy, so asking for riches was off the table. Was he ambitious for something? No, he couldn't be with how dead Benjamin's expression was. But whatever it was, it must be something great since he directly summoned him. He didn't know whether the child was foolish or impressive. He's never been called upon like this before.
Though the request wasn't one Lucifer expected. It was rather odd.
"I'm looking for a friend," Benjamin timidly replied. "Would you keep me company for a bit?"
