If Precalculus is easy, then so is finding love. But for me, Precalculus is the class I struggle the most with as a senior at Trinity High School. I have always been Amie Parker, the 'really smart girl who's probably lesbian but we'll pretend we didn't notice anything'.

They're right though, I am a lesbian. I haven't come out to my family or any of my friends besides my best friend, Jaden Torres. I found out I was a lesbian at the age of 13 after I realized my only crushes were Selena Gomez, Billie Ellish, Ariana Grande, and Kamryn Loveless.

Kamryn Loveless is the gorgeous girl I've had a crush on since I was a sophomore. She and I share Precalculus in 3rd period and I sit right next to her. Her beautiful light brown skin, green eyes, and her curly brown hair are only part of what I love about her.

I love her smile, her laugh, her voice, her amazing sense of style, and the way her eyebrows furrow when she is helping me with a math question. Most of all, I love her personality. Kamryn is a girl sent straight from heaven.

'Straight' is a word that could describe her. Kamryn is as straight as a line. Her boyfriend is Aiden Johnson, number 26 on the Trinity Tigers football team. Aiden is a nice guy, but he's too cliché. He has the stereotypical blonde hair, blue eyes, and the cherry on top is he's the captain of the football team.

Kamryn doesn't shut me out in Precalculus. Except when I wave at her in the hallway while we're making eye contact, she doesn't wave back. I can only imagine it's because she's with Aiden and the rest of the football team, but god I still love her. More than I know.

I'm not a nerd, despite taking Precalculus, I am far from it. I really enjoy skateboarding, actually. I got a Spider-Man skateboard I bought at a yard sale for two dollars a few years ago. My headphones sure come in handy when I ride past the party house.

The party house is where all the popular seniors go to smoke cigarettes and drink. I'm not a popular senior, that's for sure. I don't want to drink or smoke, but Kamryn sure does. I'm pretty sure she only drinks, but Aiden does both.

Something else I love is thrift shopping. For me, the term 'thrift shopping' can mean anything from yard-sales to actual thrift stores. I found my favorite pair of jeans in a thrift store, actually. They are light blue with a stretchy waistband. They don't have a zipper or a button, but I love them.

Another thing I love that I got from a garage sale was this brown varsity jacket. The sleeves are a beige-yellow color, and on the left sleeve the number 58 is embroidered on it in brown lettering. The back of the jacket is that same color of brown, and the embroidery on the back says 'Sports Championship 1954.'

Kamryn always compliments my outfits. Her sense of style is much different from mine, which is why is surprises me that she likes it. Her style is jeans that are so ripped that you might as well not wear any pants at all, and crop tops that go so far up your chest they barely cover your boobs.

I also love reading. My favorite types of books are the kind that leave you hanging on the edge of your seat, dramatic plot twists, and not-so-happy endings. My favorite book is called 'The Liars Daughter' by Megan Cooley Peterson. That book is about a girl named Piper Blackwell. She was raised in a cult, but she had no idea. She eventually gets ripped away from her family, and tries to get back to them.

Kamryn's favorite book is 'The Vanishing Half' by Brit Bennett. As far as I know, it's about two female identical African-American twins who run from their community at age 16. One of them remains African-American in that community, but the other one passes as white. They both have their own daughters, and they meet each other. I don't know what happens after that, but I think I might try that book.

My mom, Lucy, thinks I'm crazy. She thinks I'm cooped up in my room too much reading. When I'm not in my room, I'm skateboarding. My mom wants me to play basketball or soccer.  She's never made me actually play sports, but I hate them anyways, so I'm not complaining.

My dad, Brycen, seems to understand me more than my mom does. He helped me learn to skateboard, and he always takes me on secret trips to Barnes And Noble to get my new books.  He isn't very sporty either. He'll watch football and have a drink when it's around that time with his buddies, but I know he'd much rather be watching 'Stranger Things' with my younger sister.

My fourteen-year-old sister, Lilli, loves all things scary and sci-fi. 'Stranger Things', 'Level 16', the 'Scream' franchise, and plenty more I'm not interested in. Kamryn is very interested in horror movies, though. Her favorite is 'Before I Wake'. It's about a a little boy who gets adopted by a family who recently lost their son. His dreams come true, but so do is nightmares.

My favorite movie is 'The Book of Henry. ' The movie is about a genius boy named Henry that dies of a tumor. His brother, Peter, finds his notebook after Henry's death, and Peter and his mom discover that their neighbor, Christina, is being abused by her step-father. They follow Henry's instructions to help her, but not everything goes to plan.

I never have a plan. When I skateboard, I never have a destination, I just go wherever I feel like turning. I always bring about 10 bucks with me, because sometimes I end up at 7/11. If I do, I usually get a Mountain Dew and keep skating. The skateboard is definitely made for kids, but I'm not very heavy or wide, so it works perfectly for me.

Kamryn is quite a bit taller than me. I'm not one of those girls that make being small their whole personality, but I am definitely small. Kamryn always makes fun of my height, and I can never tell if she's joking or not. Even if she isn't, I still love her.
