Reckless Pt2

Wanda's POV:

I opened my eyes and saw a figure standing in the mini kitchen of mine and Peter's room.

"Show yourself! I won't hesitate to defend myself or my son!" I warned the person.

"Calm down Maximoff, I'm here to let you know what's going on with your wife." The person said who I then recognised as Nick Fury. He walked out into the light and smiled softly,"You might want to sit down for this."

I slipped out of Peter's grip and sat up straight on the edge of the bed. "So what's wrong with my wife?" I asked, hoping what I hear wouldn't take her from me.

"So from what we had yesterday, she lost her left hand, some burns going up her arm and shattered lower leg bone which is something we can work on, but we do need yours and Yelena's consent to fully help Natasha." I nodded at the information and let him continue," The doctors discovered she has a brain aneurysm and a spinal cord injury."

My eyes started to fill with tears, I had no idea what he was saying but it seemed serious if they needed consent for it.

"We have surgeons and medical staff on hand that are eager to help Nat but we want you and Yelena to discuss it over first. We need the yes or no within the next 2 hours, any longer and she'll die. Yelena is outside the door waiting for you right now." he explained.

I nodded and thanked him, he left and Lena came in with Kate by her side.

"You didn't even have the decency to get into proper clothing." Yelena joked, probably trying to lighten the mood.

She walked over to Peter to kiss his head and Kate came over to hug me.

"She's gonna be fine. It's Natasha we're talking about." she whispered to me and I appreciated the enthusiasm she was giving off.

When we pulled back from the hug she sat next to me and Yelena sat cross legged on the floor.

"Not to be rude but why is Kate here?" I asked a little confused, Lena laughed and said,"She's my best friend, I need her here right now."

I looked to the brunette and she was smiling at Lena.

"How do you feel about the surgery?" Yelena asked as I turned back to face her.

"I'm scared." I admitted and she nodded.

"So am I, but we need to decide now unfortunately."

"I say yes to the surgery." I say and she nods,"There are complications during surgeries but I think it her best shot."

"Same." Yelena agrees," I'm going to tell Fury we both said yes, Kate could you come with to give Wanda some privacy?" she asks and Kate easily agrees.

"Before I leave, is there anything else you need me to tell him?" she asked.

I thought for a moment before requesting,"Could she come home as soon as she's recovered?". She sent me a thumbs up and left the room.

I got ready for the day and left a note for Peter saying he could call me if he needs me and breakfast was in the kitchen.

I walked to the medical bay and spoke to some of the doctors. They said her surgery was going to begin within the next hour so I could watch from the viewing room.

A female nurse directed me towards it and to my surprise, I saw everyone who came with yesterday aside from Peter and Bruce. I didn't know how the rest got here. Sat in the rows were the guardians, Okoye, Shuri and T,challa, Loki, Scott, Hope, Clint, Valkyrie and Melina.

Everyone was deep in conversation as they waited for the doctor to begin operation so they didn't notice me.

"Hey's what's going on?" I asked out loud, everyone went quiet and looked towards me.
