Warnings: NWH spoilers, and it's confusing keeping track of names I'm sorry

You and Peter came up with a plan quickly. You caught a bus to the Sanctum, talking to each other quietly. You weren't sure what had happened to expose Peter's identity, but you were sure it wasn't good.

When you finally reached the Sanctum, it was dark. You and Peter looked out for threats, and you finally reached the doors of the Sanctum.

This was it. It was time to go home. Time to see everyone again. But also time to leave Peter behind. You turned your head to look at him, to see that he was already looking at you.

"Part of me doesn't want to knock," you admitted in a whisper. "I... I don't want to leave you."

Peter sighed deeply and stepped closer to you.

"I don't want you to leave, either," he said, his voice breaking slightly. "This is... I don't want this to be the end."

"Me neither," you confessed.

Before you could do anything, however, an orange glow was cast over the two of you from behind. You turned around to see an orange, sparkly circle, with two very familiar people in it.

"Ned!" you called out. "MJ!"

You grabbed Peter's hand and dragged him towards the circle. You stepped through, ready to speak to someone you knew (well, maybe not in this universe), when you paused. Two heads had swivelled in your direction, and Peter's hand tightened around yours.

"Another one?" a man who strikingly resembled the Peter whose hand you were holding said. You realised with a jolt that he was wearing a Spiderman suit. He paused, before looking at Peter much more closely. "Hold on... you look exactly like I did..."

"Oh my god," you whispered.

You looked at identical-but-older-Peter, and then turned your head to an older man who was standing in the corner. He waved once, and you blinked. He looked like a youth-pastor, in your opinion, but also similar to Peter. To both of them. All of them.

"Are you... are you both Peter Parker?" you asked.

The two men in the room nodded slowly, and you looked to your Peter in alarm. You thought that you had been the only one who'd been multidimensional travelling. You supposed that you were wrong.

You looked to your Peter, to see him staring at identical-but-older-Peter. Identical-but-older-Peter was staring right back, and you felt a bit uneasy at how similar they looked. You looked back at MJ and Ned to see them staring at you.

"Where – where's Strange?" you asked them.

The two looked at you with slight surprise, and you knew that neither of them recognised you. It hurt a little bit, but you pushed it away.

"Why do you need to know?" MJ asked, at you suspiciously.

"I've been in two universes that aren't mine," you said. "I'm hoping he can send me back home."

As you said the words, you felt Peter stiffen beside you, and your heart tightened when you remembered that going home meant not seeing Peter anymore. But if Strange could send you back, then maybe he could help you travel through worlds. You hoped that he could, because you really, really, didn't want to have to say goodbye to this Peter forever.

MJ and Ned looked at each other nervously. Ned opened his mouth to speak and MJ shook her head frantically, but Ned had already started speaking.

"Well, there are all these bad guys who are from different universes who all know that Peter Parker is Spiderman, and we are... we were trying to help them before they went back but..." Ned's eyes welled with tears. "We can't find Peter. We... we don't know where he is."
