It's been 2 weeks since we got back from our camping trip and everything has been going normal. Well normal for us at least. Bear, Wolf, Bull, and Panther were all off doing there things, while dad was doing his. Husky and me were at home most of the time. But we did get out at least every other day even if it was just to go to a store. I, as a 1 year old, liked to go out. But me as a 15 year old looking like a 1 year old, wasn't that thrilled about it. Husky tried his best to make it fun and not too embarrassing. But when you're a cute little kid and there are a lot of woman around. Exactly older woman. Let's just say, my cheeks always hurt when I went out.
The first couple of times I dealt with it. I thought they would get over seeing a little kid around. But then I realized something. We lived near all the old people in the world. Don't get me wrong, the treats that they kept giving me were great. They pinched my cheek then they gave me candy. There were so many one day that Husky had to put me outside to try and run off the sugar-rush I was on. I was literally bouncing off the walls. Luckily I didn't get sick from it. But I was really tired after. Who knew that about 20 prices of candy could make a 1 year old that hyper?
People kept asking Husky "how old is your son?" He would correct them saying that I wasn't his son. But after the 100th person, he just said that I was 15. And everyone thought that he meant 15 months old. Or a year and a half, and technically, I was. But it made for a good inside joke between the two of us. Then people asked about "the mother". And Husky would say that there was no mother. Then that would ether get sympathy, or he would get a phone number. Some even offered to take us to lunch or dinner. And not just the girls ether. I though that was a little funny when this huge buff guy kept fallowing us around the store hitting on him. The only way to get him to stop was to show that guy a picture of Bear holding me when we were camping. He told the guy that "This is my boyfriend and he doesn't like it when I talk to other guys." I helped out by pointing to the picture and saying "My mama Bear." Then the guy vanished real quick.
We tried him being my brother and he was taking care of me for the day. That didn't go to well. Everyone thought he was lying or something. I don't know why. The girls around here are weird. I mean, I can be his son, but not his baby brother? Makes no sense to me.
When we went to a park once so I could play, he called me a chick magnet. All the single moms came over to him "to talk". I actually had to help him get away from them by saying I needed a change even though I didn't. And even then, some of them offered to change me for him so he could say longer.
And that was just Husky. People kept saying they wanted to eat me. And others wanted to hold me. And then some wanted to kidnap me because I was so cute. Some wanted to arrange a play date with me and Husky. What, they wanted to date him and play with me? I didn't really get that one. All I knew was that they were weird.
To get away from all the cheek pinching and most of the oowing and awwing, I played the shy kid. Now when ever we went out I had ether a blanket or a hood I could pull over my head. When ever someone would get close, I would hide from them. And for the most part, it worked.
About a week after that my dad brought home someone. She was to be a nanny for me. Someone to help around the house and to look after me. Well to help Husky look after me. My dad was gone more dealing with business and he thought that a nanny would be a good idea. I was told the day before and I thought it would be a bad idea. But he was still my dad and it's not like I really had a say in it. Wether I was 15 months or 15 years old, he was the parent.
They came in and went to the living room so I could be introduced to her. And so they could talk about what all needed doing while dad was gone. Her name was Mandy and if I was still a teen, I would really be having problems. I don't want to be rude or crude, but this girl was hot. Normally when you think nanny you get this picture of Mary Poppins or something. An older lady that likes taking care of kids. Maybe someone that's retired even. And they are the grandmother type. Or even a teen that wants to make some money while still going to school. But you never really think of the 20 something year old that looks like a young Dolly Parton as a nanny.
