Part 5

Alex pov

The night was great. Izzy's family and mine got to know each other and it was really enjoyable. I didn't have to act prim and proper around them. We were all just relaxed with each other and it was really nice. Izzy and her family left pretty late because we had spent most of the night together. I didn't get much sleep last night either because I was thinking about Izzy the whole night. I got up in the morning and got ready for school. I ate breakfast with my parents and Lila. We talked about the night before. They all really liked Izzy and to be honest, I thought I was in love with her. I left for school and I got there pretty early. I went to the student lounge and most of my friends were already there. Only Ruby and Carter weren't there yet, but Walker, Jacob, Sherry, Izzy and Tammie were.

Alex - "What are all of you doing here so early?"

Walker - "Jacob, Sher, Tammie and I needed to see a teacher for a project we're doing together"

Izzy - "I had a busy night last night and didn't get much sleep"

Alex - "I had a pretty busy night too. But it was a lot of fun"

Sherry - "What did you both do?"

Izzy + Alex - "Oh nothing"

We both smiled. Then suddenly, all of our phones went off. I opened it and it said;

Shit. I looked at who posted it and it said, Marcus. Of course, he did. I sighed and looked at Izzy, who looked around nervously. I knew that she'd be in danger now since as royalty, we have a lot of enemies and keeping our location unknown is crucial. I went up to her and whispered in her ear;

Alex - "Go out the front door and turn left at the corner. Turn left again and there will be a bush ahead. There's a fake patch of grass on one of them. Lift it up and there is another vault door. You'll have to use your phone flashlight and I'll send you a map of the directions. Wait there until I get home. You might not like it right now but you could be in danger now that everyone knows"

I leaned back and could see that she was still trying to process what had happened.

Izzy - "Okay yeah um... I'll go now"

She quickly left out of the front entrance before anything else could happen. We still had another fifteen minutes before class started. I pulled out my phone again and moved somewhere else where nobody could hear me, then I called Lila.

Lila - "Alex? Why are you calling me this early?"

Alex - "Sorry, Lila, but everyone at school just found out about Izzy. I'm worried she might be in danger now. She's using the underground tunnels to get into the castle. I told her to stay there until I get there"

Lila - "Oh my god. Okay, yeah, that's fine. I'll wait here for her"

Alex - "If she doesn't get there within twenty or thirty minutes, call me"

Lila - "Okay. Will do"

Alex - "Thank you, Lila"

I hung up the call and let out a breath. I hoped she would be okay. I went back to the student lounge. I went back to the student lounge. It felt like forever before the bell rang for dismissal in the last period. The whole day, people were gossiping about the fact that Izzy was a princess. I practically bolted and ran straight for the castle. I got there and went to my bedroom. I heard music blasting and laughing coming from Lila's room, so I peered inside and Lila and Izzy were having fun and laughing together.
