~Monday~
When Violet woke up she felt the awakening of another power, death perception. She looked at her alarm clock when it went off showing that it was 6:30 am. When she got out of bed to get ready she realized that when she and Stefan talked about him being a vampire, she never told him what she was. She decided that during their date tonight she will tell him.
After she got ready for school she went to make a quick breakfast. She made 3 smoothies and some french toast (the smoothies are for her, Jeremy, and Jenna since Elena said she doesn't like eating what Violet makes).
"Jer you up yet?!" she yelled up the stairs since she was giving him a ride to school today.
"Yeah, give me 5 min!" he yelled back as he was getting his stuff in his bag.
"Okay, do I look like a responsible adult?" Jenna asked Violet when she came downstairs.
"Yes, you do. Why? Where are you going?" Violet responded as she pointed to the food she made signaling Jenna to eat some of it.
"Thanks. And I'm going to Jeremy's parent/teacher conference today." Jenna told Violet. Violet was gonna ask her another question when Jeremy walked into the kitchen.
"Good morning, thanks for the food Vi," he said sitting down to eat.
"Jeremy why is Jenna going to a parent-teacher conference for you already? It's only the second week of school." Violet asked him.
"It's Tanner's class," Jer said like that explained everything, which it did.
"Oh okay then," Violet said accepting his answer
"Wait, what's wrong with this Tanner guy?" Jenna asked them, not understanding why Violet accepted that answer.
"Tanner is a grade-A douchebag that thinks he is gods gift to men. Okay, think about how much you hate Logan Scumfell. That's how much we hate Tanner." Violet told her aunt trying to get her to understand how much they hate Tanner.
"Ok fair enough. And you said that his class is the only one you've been ditching?" she questioned Jeremy.
"Yup. I have an 'A' in every class but Tanner's and I attend every class but his." Jeremy clarified.
"Ok well then, I have to get going so that I get there on time for the parent/teacher conference. Make sure you guys leave soon, don't be late to school today." Jenna told them as she gathered her things and went out the front door.
"Bye Jenna!" They both yelled back at her.
~Parent/Teacher Conference~
"As Jeremy's teacher, I'm concerned. It's the second week of school and he's skipped 5 of his periods already." Tanner said with a fake concerned look on his face.
"May I ask which of his classes he skipped? Because according to all of his other teachers Jeremy has been there on time and is ready to learn. So that means that he is only skipping this class. Now tell me 'Mr. Tanner', why would my nephew want to skip your class?" She asked him in a condescending manner.
After Jenna heard what this guy was like from Jeremy and Violet she wasn't going to let him talk about Jeremy like that especially when she knows it's not true.
Jenna already talked to Jeremy's other teachers and they all told her the same thing, "Jeremy has been a great student so far. He always comes to class on time ready to learn and always gets his work done on time." so Jenna knew that it was just this teacher that had a problem with him.
"I don't know why he is skipping only my class Miss. Sommers. Maybe you should ask him yourself." Tanner said trying to catch her off guard, thinking she didn't know why Jeremy hated his class.
"Oh don't worry, I did. And you know what he told me? He said that you were always picking on students. Oh, and Violet also told me how you keep calling her by her first name while you call all the other students by their last names. Now can you tell me why that is?" Jenna questioned him with determination written on her features.
"W-well t-that's completely i-irrelevant." Tanner stammered since he couldn't come up with an actual answer.
"Hmm, that's what I thought. You complain about my kids again and I'll go to the admin. And if I ever hear that you called Violet anything but Miss. Gilbert I will go to the Mayor and make sure you are fired from this school." She said completely serious while staring into his eyes, daring him to challenge her. Then she picked up her purse and walked out of that classroom feeling very accomplished with herself.
Jenna knew that if she went to Mayor Lockwood saying that Tanner has been making Violet uncomfortable that he would definitely have him fired on the spot. Since Tyler and Violet are such close friends she spent a lot of time at his house growing up and the Lockwoods thought of her as a daughter and would do anything to protect her.
Tanner was speechless as Jenna strutted out of his classroom. He was used to bossing people around and bullying them, he didn't expect Jenna to boss him around today. He thought that it would be easy to convince her that Jeremy was doing bad in school (since he hated how Jeremy skips his class) but he thought wrong.
