Exhausted from another long day, Alex slouched on one of the many empty seats on the train. At that moment, all they wanted to do was close their eyes and catch at least a couple of minutes of nap before their stop arrived. So, they did.

Catching a glimpse of time on their watch, Sam whispered profanities under their breath. With the horrors of missing the last train of the day, they walked faster - almost running - towards the train station. A sigh of relief was released the moment they stepped foot on the station, instinctively reaching for their handkerchief to wipe the sweat that formed on their unexpected exercise.

A smile decorated their face when they saw the arriving train that would take them home today.

No more waiting for you today then, my friend. Sam thought, pertaining to the train as he stood beyond the line on the platform.

After years of doing the same thing, their body already memorized the activity they were doing because moments before the train halted at their destination, they woke up. Waiting for the door to open, Alex stood before the train's closed doors, trying (and failing) to tame their stubborn hair.

However, all movements stopped the moment Alex looked up and saw the most enchanted person they swore to have ever laid their eyes on. With the person's almost lazy stance, having both hands in their jean pockets and a dreamy look in their hazel eyes, accompanied by a small smile playing on their lips, Alex almost lost it.

What was it like to be the reason for this beautiful person's smile?

Still lost in the thoughts of home - to a warm bath and soft, fluffy bed - Sam has almost forgotten the train stopped in front of them. When they lifted their gaze, though, every other thought vanished completely as they stared at the most mesmerizing dark brown eyes they have ever seen.

Shivers traveled down their spine as Sam stared back at the person behind the glass door of the train. Amazement, upon seeing the beautiful person in front of them (if not for the glass door separating them) almost died down when Sam realized that the person was staring right back at them.

What should I do? Am I decent?
Heck, I didn't have "interact with a pretty person" on my schedule today!!

With thoughts running kilometers per second, Sam fidgeted on their spot.

Any moment now these doors will be opening! Should I say, "Hi"?
How do people even say "Hi"??

With their hands fisted inside of their pockets, Sam watched the brightness of the person's dark eyes, which totally outshine everything else around them. Slightly adverting their eyes to look at the overall appearance of the person, Sam swore that a rich green button-down shirt with off-white pants never looked so good before.

Upon catching the not-so-subtle glance of the person's eyes on their body, Alex nervously glanced down at their own attire. They just threw on those clothes this morning because they were running late. However, before their thoughts spiraled down into overthinking, Alex breathes out and straightened their stance, as they tried to project confidence rather than the 'melting-to-puddles' they were feeling inside.
