A purple figure in a strange robe appeared before me. The figure had no real shape or face, but it was clearly wearing some sort of long garment much like a robe.

The figure hovered above the ground and seemed to stare at me. Even with no apparent eyes, I could still sense it examining me.

I attempted to speak, and found myself unable to. I tried to move and realized I was stuck. I was left staring at the purple figure before my eyes. Thoughts like "what is this?" and "Why can't I move" raced around in my head. As the person reached out towards me with their blurry arm, everything went black.

I awoke upside down, my legs on the bed while my head was on the floor. It happened again. For some unknown reason my subconscious had shown me that dream once again; the dream of the robbed purple figure.

"I had that same dream again!" I complained. "What does it mean, and why does it keep happening?"

That dream reoccurred every night for the past week. It was an endless stand off against that blurry figure in a violet cloak. The only thing I ever remembered was the blurry cloak guy. What bothered me was the fact that my dreams constantly were about him.I'm assuming it's a guy. Don't girls have better fashion sense?

This recurring dream annoyed me, because when I woke up, I felt as if I had been drained of all my energy. Which was quite annoying when you have to get up early for school.

I thought that sleeping was supposed to recharge a persons' energy, not drainit. Personally, I felt that if I had to sleep, I should at least get something good out of it.

My alarm clock blared and I wearily picked myself up to get dressed. I was a senior in Winsfelt High, and lived in a dormitory in a room by myself that was connected to my best friend's.

It was seven thirty and classes started at seven fifty-five. It took a total of five minutes to walk from the dorms to the school, which was one of the reasons I lived in one.

Luckily, I made it into the school at seven fifty, and walked into homeroom right two minutes before the bell rang. Just like the recurring nightmare, another thing happened quite often. As if reading my thoughts, the thing flung itself directly towards me, and like always, I dodged. Just like every morning, after I dodged Marcus flew into the lockers behind the door.

"Ouch! Why'd you hav'd ta go an dodge ma hug 'tacck for?" Marcus complained.

"Hey, how have you been Marucs?" I inquired as if nothing had happened.

"Yor dodgin' the question m'gain. Hmph." He huffed.

He grumpily stalked away to his seat all the while mumbling to himself with his awful grammar. I was able to jump to my seat a minute before class started, which was better than most days.

My day from then on out went in a blurr, from homeroom to history, calculus, english, and an assortment of others.

Eventually, the last class of the day was upon us: PE. It was by far my favorite elective. To make it even better, my best friend, Keiba, was also in PE with me.

"Hey, Keiba! How are you?" I asked.

"Totally awesome! How about you? Ready for whatever sport is chosen? What if it's basketball, are you going to be able to reach the net?" He joked.

"Ha ha. How funny. Don't think that just because I'm small means that I can't hold my own in a sport for tall people. All I have to do is jump higher than everyone else!" I retorted.

He laughed. Keiba and I were great at sports, however I had a large disadvantage due to my abnormally small height. Keiba however was exceptionally tall, standing at a height of six foot seven inches. An impressive feat for someone who came from a family of average sized people.
