Chapter 1 (Part Two)

The course of the week allowed us to forget most of what had happened on that crazy weekend. Keiba and I were seniors, and it was the last week of school. We were slammed with college applications, exams, and parties. The parties were the best thing that we got out of the whole week, especially since one of them was held in one of our classmate's mansions.

Vivian Brown, daughter of a popular politician. Not only was she rich, she had an amazing body. At least, that was what I had heard other guys say. I didn't really care what she looked like, her personality was crap. She hosted great parties though!

I didn't own a car, and Keiba didn't either, leaving us to beg for Ivan to either drive us or let us borrow his truck.

"Please Ivan? This will be a killer party, and we need a way to get there. Don't let us down bud!" Keiba begged.

"Yeah, we're seniors! Let us enjoy one last epic party." I shamelessly butted in.

"Ugh, fine. Just don't mess her up or else..." Ivan threatened.

"Yessir!" I saluted.

Keiba drove and I jumped in shotgun, both of us dressed in teenage party attire. I had a tight-fit white t-shirt with a skull across the front and black skinny jeans with rips. Keiba had on a navy t-shirt with the words 'Kentucky, Babes' written on the front. His jeans were bootcut blue jeans. He even had a belt buckle on.

I didn't understand my best friend's fashion sense. He dressed like he was from the deep south, which he wasn't. He was from New York city, New York. Mr.City Boy dressed like a southern guy, which I gave him a hard time for.

"Tomorrow is the last day of school for me. I can't wait." I sighed.

"Lucky. I still have college, which means four more years of school. Can we switch?" Keiba groaned.

"Haha, no." I laughed. "Work isn't as nice as it sounds."

"Yeah, but let's not worry about that for now. We've got a killer party to smash. Since we're old enough, I'm gonna drink."

"Excuse me, I'm old enough. You still have two months left before you're drinking age!"

"Close enough."

"Not close at all, but whatever. Just don't do something stupid."

After being told not to do something stupid, of course, he goes off and does something stupid. Not even an hour into the party and I saw him huddled in the corner surrounded by a group of angry girls. A group wasn't the right word to describe it: A mob. He had angered a mob doing who knows what, and I-as his best friend- had to go save him.

"Excuse me, ladies. Can I grab this gentleman here?" I interrupted.

They set their glares on me, and I shrank about four inches, as if I wasn't already short enough. Dang, they were scary. They were making me regret my decision to save Keiba.

"Take him, and never bring his drunk ass back. If I see him again, you'll both be sorry." A girl who seemed to be the boss threatened.

"Yes ma'am." I agreed.

I quickly dragged Keiba out of the mansion and to the truck. Whatever he had done, it had angered most of the girls in the school. Seriously, what did he do?

"Ung, uh, ugh." Keiba groaned.

Just as I had finished setting him down on the ground next to the truck, he puked rainbows. When you see someone puking rainbows, it isn't as cute as it sounds. I almost puked rainbows with him, just at the sight of it all.

"Keiba, how much did you drink?" I questioned once he was done with his rainbows.

"About... a bottle?" He replied after a pause.

I covered my face with my hand. Why was I even friends with him in the first place? Our last, supposedly killer party, had just gone down the drain. I also lost a few years of my life saving him, he owed me bigtime.

I hoisted him into the back and drove off as fast as I could. Ivan would kill us if Keiba left his rainbows in his truck. I'd already dealt with an angry girl mob, I didn't need to deal with Ivan's wrath too.

I pulled up in the dorm driveway, and hauled Keiba back to his room before dropping by Ivan to give him back the truck keys. Exhausted, I passed out as soon as I laid on my bed.

By now, I expected to dream, but I had not expected my dream to be what it was. Instead of being in a quiet environment, I was looking at some guy dressed in clothes similar to the ones we had found at the warehouse. He looked similar, almost like me. His eyes and hair color were nearly identical to mine, which was strange, because my eye color wasn't even really a color.
The recognised eye colors were red, blue, brown, yellow, and green, but mine were purple. Not blue with a purple hue, but full on purple. Strange, but it was the truth. Purple eyes or not, the guy looked eerily familiar.
I'd never met him, yet I felt drawn to him. It was the same feeling as when I had first discovered the necklace, which yes, I wore to this day. I loved it and it went with everything. The perfect accessory for a guy like me who I say shamelessly, has absolutely no taste in jewelry.

A sudden cry from the familiar guy shook me out of my thoughts. He was running through the woods, a look of fear written on his face. He seemed to be running from something, but what? The guy let out another cry, and this time I saw what happened. Out of nowhere, Purple Eyes-That's what I decided to call him- had a large gash in his back. I knew that the injury was bad, because he was bleeding a lot.

"Damn it." Purple Eyes cursed. "If only I hadn't been so bloody stupid."
He had a thick accent, British maybe? I shook myself out of my senseless thoughts. He was bleeding! What kind of dream was this? Was this real, or something my mind made up? I dearly hoped that it was fake, because I didn't think a person could survive in the condition he was in.

The dream changed angles, and I was able to see what, or rather who he was running from. People in green cloaks were chasing after Purple Eyes. They weren't running, but floating! The dream had to be fake! People couldn't float, not like that.

Purple Eyes's pursuers looked similar to the people I had dreamt of weeks before. That green and white clothing was almost identical to the clothes worn by the people that I had dreamt of previously. Was it a coincidence or something more?

The Green Cloaks were closing in on Purple Eyes fast. With his injury, it was amazing that he was even still running. I didn't see how he could possibly escape them.
"Father, I'm sorry I disobeyed your orders and went off on my own." Purple Eyes apologized. "If I do not make it through this, I hope you find my younger brother and save our world and kingdom."

His words... they were almost like last wishes. I didn't know why, but I refused to let this person die. I felt connected to them, and I wasn't going to let my connection perish. That much I was certain. How I was supposed to save them inside a dream, I didn't know. For all I knew, this was all a fantasy in my head. However, if it wasn't that meant that someone would die, and I just could not accept that.

Please, God, Goddess, anyone, please, let me save him! I prayed.

I wasn't one to pray, but at times like this, I did what was necessary. I doubted that there was anyone up there, but hey, who knows?

Almost as if my prayer was granted, my choker began to glow and warm. I was blinded, and the necklace began to heat up to burning temperatures. It was painful, enough to where I was wiping tears from my eyes.

The pain and blindness lasted only for a few seconds before I was able to see. When I opened my eyes, I was in the exact same forest where I had been in my dream.
