Chapter Twelve

Everyone was confused.

"What happened, Al?" Charlie asked.

"What did you do now?" Husker spat.

Alastor sighed as he covered his face, "Sir Pentious again."

He walked in the elevator and selected the floor that his room was on. The door closed and Alastor grabbed his hair out of stress. When the door opened, he brushed off his stress and hurried to the room. He walked in and saw Everleigh sitting in the chair staring out the window.

"Darling-"

She snapped her neck towards him faster than Annabelle the doll, "what was Pentious talking about? Surprised to see that I was still in one piece?"

Alastor slowly walked to her, "I don't know my dear-"

"What about when he said you knew everything!" She yelled, "Especially about the bite mark on my neck!"

"None of that matters now. You're safe." He replied.

"Oh really?" She laughed, "how do you know I'm safe? This was from a nightmare. Whose to say I won't have another one?"

"You won't because I'm protecting you!" He yelled.

"How! By not letting me go anywhere by myself!" She crossed her arms, "sounds like hell!"

"Well news flash sweetheart, THIS IS HELL!" Alastor yelled, "you have no idea what I'm protecting you from!"

"Then enlighten me Ol mighty overlord." Everleigh bowed sarcastically.

That remark made Alastor snap. His classic form turned demonic along with a radio static filling the silent room. He pinned her against the wall and got in her face.

"ł'₥ ₱ⱤØ₮Ɇ₵₮ł₦₲ ɎØɄ ₣ⱤØ₥ ₳ⱠⱠ Đ₳₦₲ɆⱤ ł₴ ⱧɆⱠⱠ ₳₦Đ ł ₳₥ Ø₦Ɇ Ø₣ ₮ⱧɆ ₥Ø₴₮ Đ₳₦₲ɆⱤØɄ₴ ØVɆⱤⱠØⱤĐ₴ ł₦ ⱧɆⱠⱠ. ฿Ʉ₮ ɎØɄ ฿ɆⱠł₮₮ⱠɆ ₥Ɏ JØ฿ Ø₣ ₱ⱤØ₮Ɇ₵₮ł₦₲ ɎØɄ ฿Ɏ QɄɆ₴₮łØ₦ł₦₲ ₮Ⱨł₦₲₴ ɎØɄ ₴ⱧØɄⱠĐ₦'₮ ₩ØⱤⱤɎ ₳฿ØɄ₮. ł ₥Ʉ₴₮ ₴₳Ɏ ₥Ɏ ĐɆ₳Ɽ ɎØɄ ₳ⱤɆ QɄł₮Ɇ Ʉ₦₲Ɽ₳₮Ɇ₣ɄⱠ ₣ØⱤ ₳ⱠⱠ ł'VɆ ĐØ₦Ɇ ₣ØⱤ ɎØɄ."

"Alastor get off of me!" She yelled, "you're scaring me!"

Alastor cackled psychotically as he tightened his grip. Everleigh pushed him away and made a run for the door. But Alastor grabbed her and threw her against the wall. He gripped his hands around her neck and began strangling her.

"ł'₥ ₱ⱤØ₮Ɇ₵₮ł₦₲ ɎØɄ, ɎØɄ Ⱡł₮₮ⱠɆ ฿ł₮₵Ⱨ! ₩ⱧɎ ₵₳₦'₮ ɎØɄ ₴ɆɆ ₮Ⱨ₳₮? ɆVɆⱤɎ₮Ⱨł₦₲ ł ĐØ, ł ĐØ ł₮ ₣ØⱤ ɎØɄ! ฿Ʉ₮ ɆVɆⱤɎØ₦Ɇ ł₴ ₲Ɇ₮₮ł₦₲ ł₦ ₮ⱧɆ ₩₳Ɏ!"

"ALASTOR!" Charlie's voice cracked over the radio static.

Alastor transformed back to normal and looked at the door. Charlie and the others were at the door in frightful shock. Alastor looked down at Everleigh and froze. She was crying a river and her neck was bruised from his death grip of his hands. He gasped as he slowly took his shaking hands off of her.

"E-Everleigh. . ."

She shoved him, "STAY AWAY FROM ME!"

She ran out of the room crying. She hurried down the stairs because the elevator would take too long. Once she reached the lobby, she looked around. She tore off Alastor's ring and placed it on the bar top. She looked at her engagement ring.

She wanted to remember the man she fell in love with; the sweet, loyal, honest, truthful man. But all she saw was a monster who almost killed her out of anger. She took off the ring and placed it next to the other ring. A small green wave ring surrounded the rings and faded as Everleigh ran out of the hotel.
