Scoops Ahoy is a nautical-themed ice cream parlor. It's part of the large Starcourt Mall Food Court. The staff of Scoops Ahoy, keeping with the theme, wear a SAILOR UNIFORM.

This leaves Carter Buckley looking more into jobs choices. Seeing as his mom says he needs to make new friends and not hang around the "Hargrove kid." Which in return he would just roll his eyes and switch topics off his friend.

So, he works at a video store. it's nothing special he gets a few bucks off this job plus sometimes max, Lucas, and will come to just give him company.

That doesn't mean he doesn't still go to scoops to hang with Steve and robin, well mostly robin. He doesn't really like Steve that much.

This leads to him now, he's sitting on the counter next to his sister not noticing that people are walking in until a hand is hitting his legs off the counter, making him look up to the kids in front of the counter.

He can tell the one in front with a yellow shirt is mike, while the rest are behind him.

Mike taps the service bell repeatedly, making Carter roll his eyes at the little boy disregarding his sister's presence. 'God he's such a brat' Carter thinks, he's glad he doesn't get the pleasure of having to deal with Mike a lot. I mean don't get him wrong, he likes Mike as much as the rest of the kids, but he can get a little annoying at times.

Robin glares at Mike and calls out to her colleague. "Hey, dingus, your children are here." Behind Robin
is another counter, the sliding window attached opens up to Steve in his uniform.

"Again? Seriously?" Mike just gives Steve a dead-pan look before ringing the bell one last time.

"Don't make me confiscate the bell Mike." Carter says narrowing his eyes at the boy who looked sharply at him, Mike doesn't say anything but his hand reaches for the bell again until Max grabs it before he can touch again.

"Don't even bother Mike, we need to go." she says, and Mike just rolls his eyes annoyed and looks back at Steve.

Steve comes out from behind the counter and walks right to where he's beside Robin who's leaning against the counter near her brother's legs.

"Come on let's get this over with." Steve says and just as the crew starts following Steve to go to the back door just so they could get into the movie they wanted, when Carter remembered something.

"Hey max, where did you tell him you were?" he asked, and the red headed girl stops for a second to let the boys keep walking.

"At the video game store." and Carter just tisked.

"You know the rule." he replied back and max shrugs and starts to keep walking.

"Tell you before I use you as an excuse, I know!" She yells catching up to the boys.

After the children are in whatever movie they decided to go to, Steve and robin are serving two girls when the lights go out.

"That's weird," Steve says, looking around in the dark parlor.

Steve goes to the light switch on the wall, flicking it off and on, making Carter and Robin annoyed and at the same time say "that's not going to work, dingus."

Already use to how they get from being around them all the time, he sarcastically says, "oh really?" But still goes on to flick the switch repeatedly.

Carter ends up getting bored with hearing Steve and robin go back and forth, and decides to go walk around the mall. As he walks he sees the Starcourt mall sign go dark.

"Probably just a short power outage, nothing weird." he whispers to himself, and then realizes he's alone, so he wonders why he started whispering.

Shortly after, he goes to the food court and sees Lucas's little sister, Erica with her friend eating an ice cream cone. After walking around some more the lights come on, and he goes back to scoops.

When he walks in Robin immediately comes up to him and asks,"Where were you?" She asked worried, noticing her brother being gone. Carter can see her eyes wonder all over his body and face as if he was hurt.

He can see Steve clearly in the background trying to not listen, but it's seen that he was a little worried about where the brother wondered off since he didn't tell him nor robin.

"I was just looking around to see about the lights." he exclaimed walking to the counter.

After hearing that Robins still a bit concerned, but Steve appears and tries to reassure her. "he's fine, no bruises and there's barely anyone in the mall right now."

"Still, a little heads up would have been nice." she says, and Carter just sighs heavily. She's always worried about him and it's genuinely annoying cause he's fine.

But, he still apologizes "I'm sorry, you're right I should have told you or Steve that I was leaving"

Robin still doesn't look convinced, but takes the apology and lets herself be guided by Steve away from him finally leaving him alone.

Carter has a feeling go over him, and the back of his neck start forming goosebumps, he thinks it's weird, but ignores it. Maybe it's because he's in an ice cream parlor, it's a little cold. Right?

The projector comes back to life and the movie resumes. Much to the delight of the crowd. But not Will. As his friends and the patrons around him settle, Will becomes increasingly worried.

Goosebumps form on the back of Will's neck. He
reaches behind and places his hand over them.

"Hey" mike looks to will, "are you okay?"

Will being nervous but still utters a "yeah"

"Are you sure?" he asked again

"Of course"

he's not

Will shifts nervously before Turing his attention back on the movie screen.
