Part 31

Dawko quickly reached over and snatched Fusions phone from him. "Hey! Lewis give it back!" Fusion said. Dawko contemplated answering the phone, he let the phone continue to ring for a while before answering it.

"Brandon?" Jessica's voice came through the receiver. "O-oh hey Jessica!" Fusion said, loudly, because Dawko was holding his phone. "I wanted to talk about what happened." Jessica said. "At laser tag?" Fusion asked. "Yes." Jessica said with an irritated tone. "Have you told Lewis?" Jessica asked. "Oh, no, I haven't." Fusion told her.

"I feel bad." Jessica said.

"Well you should, they told you it was against the rules to touch people at laser tag." Fusion said. "So why the bloody hell would you kiss Will?!" Dawko said into the phone.

"Lewis, that's rude. Don't interrupt their conversation." Will said, shaking his head in disapproval. "Lewis?" Jessica said, sounding surprised to hear him. "How could you do this to me, Jessica? We've been together for four years!" Dawko said.

"Lewis, what are you talking about? I never kissed anyone.." Jessica said, doing her best to sound genuine.

"I heard you talk with Brandon, I saw you tackle Brandon at laser tag. You can't lie to me." Dawko said. Fusion and Will could hear the pain in Dawko's voice. Will leaned over to Fusion. "I think he's gonna cry." He whispered.

Fusion stayed silent for a moment. "Shut up Will, you're the one who ruined his relationship in the first place. He can cry if he wants to." Fusion told him. "Lighten up Brandon, this will give you an opportunity to get Lewis to yourself." Will said.

"That's nice but-" Fusion started. "I can't be happy when Lewis is sad." Will thought for a moment. "I guess you're right." Will said.

"I bought you a ring Jessica! Only for you to do this?" This sentence caught Fusions attention. He completely forgot that Dawko planned to marry her. "..You bought me a ring?" Jessica said. "Lewis, I'm coming over. Let's talk about this. Jessica added. "No, no, no! Do not come over!" Dawko said. But it was too late. Jessica had already hanged up.

"No, no, no..." Dawko said, sitting back down on the couch and tossing Fusion's phone on the couch as well. Fusion reached over and grabbed it. Will and Fusion both sat down on both sides of Dawko. Will put his hand on Dawko's back. "You okay?" Will asked. "Don't you dare talk to me." Dawko snapped back. "Can I talk to you?" Fusion asked Dawko. Dawko looked over at him. "What could you possibly want to talk about?" Dawko crossed his arms. "We're your friends Lewis, and we want to make sure you're okay."

"How can you be my friend when you hid this from me?" Dawko asked.  "Lewis, it hasn't even been two days since it happened." Fusion said. A minute went by and no one said anything. After another minute of awkward silence Dawko spoke up. "I want you guys to get out."

"What?" Fusion and Will said in unison.

"Get out. Now."
