When Kiryu entered Bacchus, his eyes widened in shock. A gasp caught in his throat as he observed the carnage in front of him. Dead bodies slumped in the bar. He cautiously stepped forward. He soon heard the sounds of quick, scared breathing. He looked over to see a little girl huddled against the bar. Gripping a pistol like her life depended on it. Black hair that goes to her shoulders, a cute hair clip that parted her bangs. Wearing a red skirt and a white hoodie. Kiryu blinked and saw Y/N when he was a little boy in that girl's place for a second. Before he reached out and clamped his hand on the pistol. So he could take it away from her.
"What happened?" Kiryu asked as the little girl looked up at him. "When I got here... Everyone... Everyone was..." She whimpered, she looked like she could have a panic attack at any moment. "Why'd you come here?" Asked Kiryu, his tone firm, to act as an anchor for this girl. "I'm looking for my Mom... I asked around, and..." She explained as she tries to keep herself calm. "What's your name, kid?" Asked Kiryu. The girl looked down and didn't answer. "We have to get you out of here," Kiryu said as he gently took the gun from her hand. Before holding out his hand for her to grab. Which she did, her grip was tight and shivering. Kiryu helped her to her feet. She was so short she was just at his waist.
Kiryu realized he hasn't seen a kid in ten years. Last kid he saw was Y/N and this girl, just reminded Kiryu of him. Kiryu couldn't let her be alone like Y/N was. She'd be chewed up and spat out into something twisted. He escorted her out of the bar. As they began to make their way away from the scene of the crime. "Shouldn't we tell someone what happened?" She asked. "That was big enough to make waves, I'm sure the cops are on their way," Kiryu responded simply as she walked in front of him. Her eyes glancing back and forth. Her posture huddled and she looked ready to sprint at a pin drop. Her innocence has been lost by that grisly sight. As she's now in fight or flight. "Okay..." She muttered.
"But is it just me or are there fewer payphones? They used to be all over the city," Kiryu observed, not knowing what else to say. Nishikiyama was always so much better at small talk. Whenever they met with strangers, Kiryu always let Nishikiyama do the talking. "Everyone has cellphones now. You only use a payphone if your battery dies," the girl answered like it was the most obvious thing in the world. Well it was to her, not for a man out of time like Kiryu. "Oh, is that right?" Kiryu said dryly.
"Huh? Mister, do you not have a cellphone?" She asked as she turned around to look at Kiryu, walking backwards, a sly grin on her otherwise innocent face. "D-Don't be ridiculous. Of course I do," Kiryu replied with a grumble, his face turned slightly red from the embarrassment of being pressed by a little girl. "Good. That's a relief," she said with a giggle as she turned around. After a bit of walking, she just stopped. A look of despair on her face. As barking became louder and louder.
Kiryu saw a Shiba-Inu being hit with rocks by a couple of punks. "Stop.." she muttered, her fists clenched in anger but her face was one of fear. Kiryu saw this as the girl was caught between confronting or running. He placed his hand on her head as he walked forward. His rough, yet warm palms shook the girl out of her stupor as she watched him casually head towards the puppy. As one of the assholes threw a fastball at the pup. Kiryu's hands clamped down over the stone, catching it with ease. Stopping it from hitting the dog.
Kiryu tossed the stone up in the air. Before catching it and hurling it at the lead dickbag. Striking him in the face and giving him a taste of his own medicine. Breaking his nose as his friends approached Kiryu like they were hot shit. "The face man? Really?" One douche asked. "I'm having a pretty rough day and I'm pissed off about it. So this mess, bad luck on your part," Kiryu said with a mean mug. As more thugs began to surround Kiryu. "Whose got bad luck, old man?" The street punk asked. Kiryu just cracked his knuckles in response.
Street Punks
Haruka watched in amazement as Kiryu dodged hits coming at him from behind. Grabbing the arm of the punk going past him. Before he turned and threw the asshole into his friends. Knocking them on their asses. Kiryu walked over and picked a man up by the hair. Before giving his nose a brutal uppercut. Letting his head hit the ground with a bounce. Kiryu elbowed a douchebag in the throat for attempting to wallop him upside the head. Then Kiryu turned around and raised his fist up while the guy gagged and regained air. Before bringing it down on his collarbone, shattering it as he clutched his shoulder, crying like the little bitch he was as he rolled on the floor. Kiryu kicked him in the ribcage to shut him up.
