"Up and attem', Luz" Hunter said, pushing open my curtains, that followed by me hissing and whining. "hrnnmm.. five more minutes." I say sleepily. "Father wants to talk.. in person." Hunter say in a low and serious tone. I shoot up and quickly get ready, we've never gotten together.. like a family.
We all sit in the long table, Belos being in the middle. "So.. how's school?.." He asks in a groggily voice. "It's good..! I got into flyer derby.." Hunter says as he eats his screamcakes and eggs. "Luz? How about you?" I look up at him, but not directly at his eyes as my head were in the clouds while I was poking at my breakfast. "It was.. good.. I met.. someone. She's a nice girl and our.. friendship is well." I say as I slightly blush, trying to finish my food a little quickly. "Oh? What's her name?" Belos asks as he slowly eats his soul-soup. "Amity Blight. " Hunter hums as he picks up my empty plate, "Fiddling with the Blights, I see?" He says teasingly as I blush. "Ah! The Blight Family. About them, I was actually inviting them to dinner to discuss.. plans." Belos chuckles, "Well, I must be off to my studies.. till later, Luz and Hunter." Belos says as we both nod slightly to him, he slowly disappears into the dark shadows.
I open my scroll.
"Hm. Amity's online.." I mumble to myself, blush tinting my face as the memories of last night hit my heart.
'Hey..' I quickly delete the message...
'Sup Ami.." Delete. Delete. Delete. I groan.
'Amity: Having some trouble I presume?"
Amity's POV:
'Luz: Well, yeah. How do I approach someone who's cool, smart, classy and..
oh no
I'm not getting off topic am I?'
I laugh.
'No, don't worry.'
Silence.
'Luz: Hey about last night.'
My heart races as the blood rushes to my face.
'It was fun. We should do it more often.' Luz types.
"Heya Mittens." Emira and Edric say in unison which freaks me out. They take my scroll from me and read our texts, "Ed! Em! Don't you dare text anything!" I yell as I try to take it back, but they push me away. "Aw Ed, look! Mittens has a little girlfriend" Emira smirks as Edric agrees, "Is that why you wanted us to cover for you last night? So you could go making out with her?" He laughs. "..And so what if I did?" I say, turning red from embarrassment and anger. "Oh Mittens, we know you don't have enough bravery to do that." Emira says as Edric nods frantically. "Anyways, speaking of your little girlfriend.. we're going there for dinner, mother and father planned a dinner over there because they were gonna talk about some business stuff." Emira says as they leave my room, "Get ready at 6." She adds before closing the door, leaving me alone once again.
Luz.
I look at my scroll
'Amity(Emira): Indeed it was, excited to see you tonight. xo. <3'
My face turns bright red.
