After Loki's nails dried, Luna had gone around to the rest of the housemates and compiled a food list to send Tony. It took the better part of an hour as most of them were initially indecisive. Dinner had caused the last of the leftovers to vanish, so a refresh of the pantry was of the essence. Due to the time change, she slept uncharacteristically early that night and conveniently missed Tony's message regarding the food delivery.
So now, in the morrow's daylight, Luna stood alone outside, squinting up at the sky. She had no idea what to look for regarding the delivery drone Tony mentioned, but she continued to scan the skies. Knowing she was waiting for a mystery drone struck fear into her heart. However, the house needed food, so she braved it.
"Hey!" a voice said behind her. She recognized it as Steve's and looked over her shoulder to wave at him. "What are you looking for?"
"Keeping an eye out for that delivery drone." Luna craned her neck back up. "I didn't want the food to be sitting out or for the drone to stay too long. Should be here any minute now."
"Cool," Steve said as he approached her. "I can help bring stuff in when it comes."
"Yeah," Luna said and looked back and smiled, "that'd be real nice. Thanks." Steve smiled back and joined her in waiting.
Luckily for them, they did not have to wait long. A small gaggle of drones decloaked a few feet from Luna, their sudden appearance making her jump. They carried what looked like ten huge bags, all full of what she assumed were the necessities. All this for two weeks? Luna and Steve shared a look, but it paid to be over-prepared in situations like these, so they joined forces to carry everything inside.
Luna carried four – two in each hand – while Steve carried the rest. Thanks to his long legs, he arrived at the door first and held all six bags in one hand to open the door for Luna.
"Thank you," she said as she passed by, sending him an amused smirk. She knew he liked to be a showoff in his downtime, but the weight of the bags probably felt like a bundle of pillows to him.
"Woah!" Bucky exclaimed as Steve passed him by. "I didn't know we needed that much!"
Steve shrugged comically and handed him three bags. "You know I like a big breakfast." Bucky chuckled and followed him to the kitchen.
The new trio unloaded the bags around the kitchen island and quickly dug into them. With the three of them working, the table filled up quickly. The variety was vast, ranging from raw and dry ingredients to quick snacks and sweets. Everyone had a request for something, and Luna did her best to organize accordingly. Having Bucky and Steve there helped a ton. They took care of their own needs and helped cart the cold things to the fridge. She didn't miss when Bucky snuck a pack of Oreos back to his room, but she didn't stop him. He deserved to act a little naughty on his own.
"So," Steve said as he carried over a bag of oranges, "all this for how long?"
"Two weeks," Luna responded. "I'd say this is excessive, but I am used to taking care of only me." She paused and corrected herself. "Well, more recently, me and Loki, but still. Seven people gotta eat."
"Heh, yeah." Steve swiped an apple from the counter and rinsed it. "Speaking of people, where is Loki? I'm one to think he'd help you with this."
"He is one. He's just on a phone call with Thor. A very timely – and private – conversation."
