"Hey, that's alright, let's get to my house and you don't need to be outside. It's probably getting late.."
Annie sighed a little as she helped Garcello up, and they continued on their journey. Annie held onto his hand tighter, and Garcello slowed down to make sure he didn't power walk into another sign.
A figure emerged from the shadows, and stopped them. Annie was going to try to keep Garcello behind her, since she packed a good punch, but the lightning ended up reversing those roles.
"Hey, won't ya help me out.?" the smooth voice said, which spooked Annie almost more than the lightning.
Garcello stood tenser. "With what?"
"I need help keeping my daughter from dating someone.."
"Why does that matter to us?" Garcello said angrily.
"All I need is for him to be kept away from her, that's all."
"Find someone else!" Annie said, fighting her fears of the man. She stood up straight and angled herself to protect Garcello. She knew he was in no position to fight.
"Why, when you two would convince him the best?"
"I don't care, leave us alone!" she screamed.
"But it'll change your lives if you help me."
"Who even are you!?" she said, her voice edged in fear.
"Surely you've heard of Daddy Dearest?" the silhouette said with a smirk, visible by lightning.
Garcello's face rose in fear, but Annie still insisted to fight, despite her fear growing.
"Just leave us alone and find someone else, we don't want your crazy scheme!"
"Annie, just let it go-"
Annie looked at him with rather genuine fear. She knew she should leave and leave the demon behind, but she was scared they would be followed.
She turned back to the smirking devil. "What do you want?" she said, holding onto Garcello's hand as if she would die.
"Take these, and use them."
A water bottle and a pack of cigarettes?
