"I was only 20 at the time and I was with my family in our home which faces the cemetery itself. My father was Cameron the Second, I'm Cameron the Third." The undertaker explained, pointing to himself.
"I had four siblings, two brothers and two sisters. My brothers were Harold and Alan Hepster, and my sisters were Angeline and Juliette Hepster. As for me... I was the middle child in all this. So one night a couple of grave robbers came into our family cemetery, one began to unbury bodies while the other broke in and began stealing things. My father heard noises where he got up and went to investigate. Moments later.... we heard gun shots and screaming, so that's when my mother called the police and all of us ran to the bathroom to hide. Unfortunately my brothers were pretty cocky and thought they could take on the robbers so instead of saving themselves, they ran out to fight the robber but got..." Cameron paused and gulped.
"What happened to your brothers?" Debra asked now curious and intrigued by the story, "...they got killed." Cameron replied and looked like he wanted to cry. "My mother went out to find my brothers so it was just me and my sisters in the bathroom, but the robber found my mother and shot her, then... it was my sisters he took and killed, I managed to hide in the tub and the idiot was too dumb to look there. After the police came, my whole family got killed but me... a while later my grandfather adopted me and taught me the ways of the death business. A few years later I somehow ended up in a strange coma that caused me to become undead,  some time portal I guess." He sighed again and shifted uncomfortably.
"So is that why you bury grave robbers alive?" Debra asked, Cameron looked her gravely. "Yes, I do it to not only avenge my family but to avenge the bodies of the dead whom are robbed of what belongs to them."
So that explained a whole lot but it didn't explain why he had to hit her head like that. Seemed his little story made her forget all about the pain because she was so invested in it. "So how are you 'undead'?" Debra asked and Cameron rolled his eyes. To Debra's horror, Cameron yanked off his own hand which came off easily. "Whoops..." he muttered when the hand began scuttling along the floor like Thing from the Addams Family. Cameron grabbed the hand quickly and put it back on his wrist. He flexed his fingers to see if everything worked and was satisfied when everything was fine.
"Again, Ms. Merich... I'm sorry for doing that. I'll come back with some food and medication." He informed her and walked out of the shed, leaving Debra to comprehend what in the world just happened. He really was undead, but how? It felt like some weird horror sci-fi movie to her and it was all real. She sighed this time and began to feel her eyes slowly droop as sleep began to take over.
