Debra woke up again and the pain began to throb again. She groaned and nearly jumped out of her own skin when she saw Cameron standing there.
"Hey take it easy will ya?" Cameron said and bent down. "Where the hell did you come from?" Debra muttered and Cameron helped her swallow some pain medication.
"There, you'll be fine, I found the strongest dose I own." He said and tipped a glass of water in her mouth.
"This still isn't going to make me change my mind you know, you still killed a lot of people." Debra glared, Cameron didn't react and only looked at her with an unnerving blank stare. "Sorry you feel that way, Officer, I'd just hate to see you walk to the station with red and purple on your face." He commented, "what's that supposed to mean?!" Debra freaked out and stopped when the throbbing began to worsen.
"Just relax okay? We're going to the funeral home." Cameron said and helped Debra on her feet, undoing the bindings and led her outside where the cool night time breeze met her face.
"Why are you helping me anyways, and be honest." Debra looked at him and Cameron shrugged. "Is that a demand because you're an officer?" He asked and Debra gave him a cold look that made him snort. "Alright alright, sorry." He grumbled, "I don't want anymore trouble okay? Your courage to try and stop me was amusing more than anything but I also found it nice because I don't often get anyone's attention, it's like you're a fan of me or something."
Debra felt herself blush, did he like her?
"Well I guess we can call it a truce, huh?" Debra looked at him, forgetting about her migraine. "That'd be nice, maybe I can actually work done." He replied and nodded, Debra sighed. This was guy was nice but why would he keep doing his own thing even after her trying to take him down? He's better off coming quietly than escaping every time.
"Mr. Hepster?" Debra began and Cameron looked at her, "you can just call me Cameron, what is it?"
"I'm sorry for your loss and I'm sorry for you know doing what I have been doing." She said, feeling like she lifted a heavy weight off her chest. "Hey no problem, I can be a forgiving man no matter how much of a monster you think I am." He replied, his response sounded genuine but his expression was still blank.
"You can also just call me Debra if you want." Debra finally said and smiled a bit. "All of my friends did in high school and still do."
Cameron chuckled a bit, that surprised Debra because seeing a happy emotion was very rare.
"Thanks, for helping me out, even though you did smack my face with a shovel, thankfully you didn't break anything, although that should've happened." She thought a moment and shrugged, the two walked off to the funeral home building.
