Chapter 2: Death is a funny thing

"Ari, who was that?" El mumbled once Ari walked in her room. "A dickhead, a horrible person who just can't leave us alone, just because he knew you in-, when you were younger" Ari replied with a sigh. El left the room and approached the windows by the library. "Is he okay?, I can't see him" She chimed innocently. "He's dead El, for good." El stopped looking and froze in her place. "Dead?" She chuckled slightly. Ari turned confused. "Death is a funny thing isn't it, you're never sure exactly when you started living until your dead, like me." Ari stared blankly at El, trying to hold back tears. She had managed to keep this a secret for so long, but now, her enemy shows up with the pure objective to break El's innocence and lack of knowledge. "Listen El." Ari stuttered. "What that dickhead said was completely false, and he is gone now, so you have to take my word for it don't you?" El nodded her head, wiping her tears. "Listen to me, you are alive and breathing, he was not, you could see a clear difference, appearance wise, between you two , couldn't you?" El nodded again. "Now i need to ask you a serious question El." Ari stated. El nodded again, this time slower and more doubtfully. 

"Did you kill him." (-A)

El stepped back, confused. A certain look washed over her face, a look of betrayal almost. Ari immediately stepped back, it was the first time she was somewhat intimidated by El's Ghost. There had been times when El (alive El) would scare Ari, but her ghost had never achieved that. "I'm sorry" Ari mumbled, "I shouldn't have even thought that." El looked at Ari flatly, before showing a slight smile. El ran up to Ari and hugged her. Ari hugged her back before stepping back and telling El to sit down. El agreed, and sat down on a step by the bookcases. Ari sighed and knelt down in front of El. "Listen El, i have a weird question for you." Ari spoke softly, "You know how sometimes people have weird memories in the back of their head that they don't remember actually experiencing?" El nodded slowly. "Well, do you have any sort of memory like that, about you, well.." Ari bowed her head before continuing. El looked at her confused. 

"Of you being killed?" (-A)

El leaned back slightly almost as if she had seen a ghost (ironic), but something different happened this time when El froze. Instead of freaking out or crying, she sat there, still as a statue, and appeared as if she was thinking, searching through her small bank of memories for something somewhat similar to what Ari had just said. "I don't think so, why'd you ask?" El responded after a few minutes of thinking. Ari fumbled looking for an response. "No reason really, Just kind of interested in that stuff i guess." She replied before sighing in a somewhat annoyed way. "Okay El, I am going to be going away for a little bit, so i need you to look after Iverside and the house." El got up. "Why are you going, and where are you going to?" She asked intriguingly. "I cannot tell you the reason right now El, or my destination." Ari replied, placing her hand on El's shoulder. "Trust me, please?" Ari requested before taking her hand off of El and walking down the stairs. 

"I'll see you soon, okay El, stay safe." (-A)

And with that, Ari left the house and Iverside, to go on what you could call a mission, with her goal being to find out who killed El. She had been trying to find this out since the day El died, but always stayed near Iverside and Parmit. This time, she was going to go somewhere she had only been to twice. 

The Outcast SMP

Ari knows that her only chances now, are Elstrait and herself, well not herself so to say, but her copy, her doppleganger if you will. Lord Ariusst. Ari made sure she had everything she would need, and set off to try and find Outcast by foot, but if that failed, she would have to go there through dreams, but Ari didn't want to do this as she may not be able to even get Elstrait or Ariusst to El's ghost as she would be in Outcast in a dream. Ari pushed all of her doubts and worried aside, and set off in hopes of somehow, finally, seeing her wife El alive again.
