First day -chapter 2

I'm going to skip a few things as you probably don't want to hear about the whole morning routine 😂but I hope you enjoy this next chapter .sorry this chapter is quite long . Please follow for the next chapters :)

The next day you could hear your alarm go off which scared the hell out of you but yet you didn't care as it was your first day at your job .

The first thing you did was go on your phone and checked your notifications . You seemed to get an email from captain holt that said to meet in his office when I got there which wasn't too unusual since it was your first day in the new workplace . After you checked your phone you decided to have shower then get dressed but you didn't pack too many clothes since you only brought with you a tiny suitcase which you managed to attach to your motorbike .

After this you did the usual morning routine brushed teeth , curled your long blonde hair , had breakfast which you had to go to corner store to get since your fridge was empty .

Once you finished you got your bag full of documents and set off to work . You got on your bike and drove to your new workplace . Before you got there ofc you had to buy lunch for later so you stopped at some random shop you saw on the way and then back on the road .

When you got there you could see a rather professional looking building . In front of it you saw the last parking spot so typically you parked your motorbike there as fast as you could before someone else did . Behind you saw a old looking car but you didn't really care of it .

When you got in the building you didn't know where to go so you asked some random person and they told you . When you finally reached the main office part you saw multiple desks and an office that you saw inside your new captain was in . You saw the other people in the building looking at you funny . It seemed normal since you were new .

You knocked on the door and holt gestured for you to come in . As you walked in , holt began to stand up from his chair .

"So are you y/n Parker from London I've heard about ?"

"Yes sir " you said nervously while you could feel the other people looking at you through the window in his office .

"That over there is your new desk " he gestured towards a desk near the middle of the room . You saw your cousin Amy sitting at her desk near the front but at the back of the room you saw someone familiar . It was the guy you met the other day . You noticed him quickly looking back at him computer .

"So Parker , I heard you are a great detective so today you can just set up and do what you need to do and tomorrow I'm giving you your first case . Is that clear "

"Yes really clear "

"Good"

You began walking to your desk and all eyes were on you . Awkwardly you finally sat in your new desk after walking to it for what felt like an eternity. When you did finally however someone came up to you sat on the edge of your desk and started talking .

"Hey I'm Gina , what's it like in London ?"

"It's great I guess " you said while logging onto the computer at your desk .

"So do you know anyone here yet ?"

"Indeed I do , Amy over there is my cousin and that guy sitting at the back " you turned in your chair to face towards him . " who's he may I ask ?"

"Oh that Jake Peralta the biggest dumbass but a great at his job . He's been staring at you ever since you walked in "

"Interesting "

"Why do you ask?"

Amy came in cutting her off . " not distracting my cousin are you Gina ?"

"No we were just having a little chat " she said as she started walking back to her own desk across the room .

"Hey why didn't you message me when you arrived ?"

"Sorry i got really tired after the flight "

"I understand . So do you wanna do some shopping after work ? Since you don't have much and after we can just have some pizza if that ok with you ?"

"Yeah that's fine I need some new clothes "

"Good see you after then "she started walking back to her desk .

Some time passed and it was your break so you walked to the over to the break room . As you walked in you saw the guy you met the day before . It was awkward at first but then when you turned the kettle on for your cup of tea he started talking .

"I hear your name is y/n Parker "

"Yes it is . Jake peralta "

"I'm guessing Gina told you already who I am and you are the one who took my parking spot "

"Oh so you were in that old crusty car ?" You said teasing him .

"It's not old it's just ... well not new "

"Sure it is " you said rolling your eyes while pouring your cup of tea .

"You want me to introduce you to everyone ?" He said pointing to the desks in the room .

"Don't see why not "

"Let's start of with Rosa . The one sitting next to you . She is what you can say an angry person "

" then there are those two in the back corner " he took a sip of his coffee ," Michael and scully . Theres not much to say about them they are just weird "

"Your cousin Amy I think you already know about her . She always just wants to get on captains good side . Gina you already met she loves gossip "

"Next up Charles . He is really passionate about food and lastly Terry . He is muscular and strong but he does get emotional "

"Wow ! Impressive " you said drinking your Yorkshire tea you brought from London with you .

"So you like tea "

"No I don't"

"But y.. " before he could Finish you walked to your desk .

The rest of the day went well and rather fast . Before you knew it , it was already the end of the work day .
