I unleashed an energy blast at another robot, smashing it into pieces against the Fortress. Wow! Eggman sure came prepared for our attack.
Long story short, we're infiltrating Eggman's Fortress because he plans on using the 7 chaos emeralds for one of his dastardly schemes. Not to mention that he has Cream and Cheese in there. Probably to lure us into some kind of trap. I hope those two are ok.
Back to the fight, a robot sends Sonic into the air. I caught him in a purple energy sphere before he made contact with the ground.
"Nice save, Lux." Sonic thanked.
"Yeah, anytime." I reply, taking him back to Fortress to continue the mission.
Sonic leaps back into action and uses his speed to destroy the robots. While taking down the robots surrounding me, I noticed Amy and Tails (who are on the Tornado 2) are about to crash into a boulder. I gasped in horror, destroying the robots as I flew in their direction on a purple energy board. They both look up to see me flying above the Tornado 2.
"Lux!" Tail shouts.
"Do something!" Amy exclaims at me.
"Hang on! I'll use my powers to stop this thing from crashing!" I yell. With that, I surround the Tornado 2 with light purple energy. I try to to pull it away from boulder, but it gets closer for a devastating impact.
"OH MY GOD! WE'RE GONNA CRASH!!" Amy screams in fear.
"I KNOW!" Tails screams, trying to gain control of the plane.
Sweat drips across the sides of my face as I struggle to move the plane to safety. Just as we're about to die, the boulder is crush into pieces. The Tornado 2 slides safety on the ground and I release my hold on it. Me, Tails, and Amy look to see our savior.
"Knuckles!" Tail yells happily. Knuckles briefly looks at us before turning away with a cynical 'hmph'.
"What the matter with him?" Amy asks, bothered by his attitude. I fly over to him.
"Thanks, Knuckles for helping me save our friends from being blown into smithereens while being an absolute jerk." I tell him sarcastically.
"Can it Lux. Just be grateful that you're weren't toast back there, ok." Knuckles replies, annoyed.
Before I could say anything else, there were explosions and smoke surrounding the Fortress from Sonic's attack.
"Overkill. Just like always." Knuckles states cynically.
"At least Sonic's trying to prevent Eggman from using the Chaos Emeralds and save our friends in the process in case you haven't noticed, Knucklehead!" I yell at him.
"Oh! So now you wanna in defence his reckless tactics?" He questions me angrily.
"Enough!" Amy fires back. She walk over in between Knuckles and me before pushing us apart.
"With you two butting heads, we won't be able to help out Sonic, stop Eggman, and save Cream and Cheese!"
"You're right Amy. And Knuckles, about what said earlier-" I start to apologize, only for Knuckles to interrupt me.
"No L, I'm the one who should apologize for my behavior." He admits.
"Let's acknowledge that we we're both in the wrong and remain friends, ok." I tell him.
"Yeah." Knuckles replies as we fist-bump.
Later on, we turn to see that the Fortress glows in a white light. The light begins to cover the entire area into some kind of void. How can that happen? Unless that means....no. It can't be!
"What is that?" Amy asks.
"It used to be Chaos Control." Knuckles answers. The next thing I know, we're engulfed into Chaos Control and everything goes black.
My vision gets blurry as I open my eyes. I noticed that I'm somewhere underground while getting back on my feet. Oh no. Where are the others?
Worry starts to flow through my voice as I call for my friends, "Cream! Cheese! Tails! Knuckles! Amy! Sonic!"
"Lux? Is that you?" I hear Amy from my left. I walk to that direction and see her and Knuckles.
"Ah! It really is you, Luxie! Or I could be dreaming?" Amy yells in excitement, hugging me.
"It is me, Amy. Now, let me go. I... can't breath." I wheezed out and she releases me from her tight embrace.
"Where are we?" I asked.
"Somewhere underground. How could Sonic be so reckless and get us all into this mess?!" Knuckles replies, irritated.
"Sonic would never do something like that. For all we know, this could be a trap from Eggman!" Amy retorts.
"Oh please. He's the one who invaded Eggman's Fortress without any sort of plan or caution." Knuckles argues.
"Even though he did, Sonic wouldn't intentionally caused Chao Control!" Amy spits back. The two growl and give each other intense glares.
"Guys!" I yell and both of them turn to me. "It doesn't matter who was responsible for this 'Chao Control' scenario. Right now, we need to figure a way out of here and find the others."
"You're right, Lux. Follow me." Knuckles tells us as we walk through a tunnel underground. Hang in there, Cream and Cream. We're coming for you. Tails and Sonic, please be ok.
