Chpt 3: Anniversary

Nico's POV:

Today was my and Percy's anniversary.

I decided to take up Dad's offer and become an immortal Lieutenant of the Dead. Meaning now I just ran around the universes claiming the shitheads and people who were supposed to die but didn't. Although, he had given me a strange claiming: Jason Todd. This Jason dude was supposed to be dead but he wasn't. He'd come back to life and my mission was to find out why.

I frowned because instead of seeing Percy in Elysium I was to go to Gotham straight away. Well, Dad, there's nothing straight about me I'm afraid so this Jason is gonna have to wait. Seaweed Brain comes first.

Shadow traveling to Elysium, I headed straight to the pool where Perce would undoubtedly be. There he was, in all his glory looking ripped as ever-

Nope. Focus Nico. Now's not the time to swoon over your dead boyfriend. Tell him you have to go and you'll be back soon. If he defies AVOID the baby-seal-eyes and tell him that the quicker you get this job done the quicker you can go back to spending time with him. Kapish?

Percy was smirking at me and I turned so red that it'd probably rival Ares's chariot. The sly idiot had probably seen me staring at his figure this whole time. Saving the last shreds of my dignity I walked up to him. "Hey Perce, how'd the dead treating you?"

The Son of Poseidon grinned. "You ask me this every day! But to answer your question, not bad. Though seeing you would make my days being dead better."

I blushed. "I've got jobs, you know this. And speaking of jobs-"

"You're leaving again aren't you? How long Neeks? A week? 2 weeks?"

Gods this was gonna hurt me so much more than it was gonna hurt him. "6 months. Maybe more.."

"Wait what?! Gods Nico that long?"

"Yes!" I snapped. "Shit sorry Perce I didn't mean to-"

"No, you're right. I'm being childish as usual. Forget it alright. I'll see you in 6 months." The way the last phrase was said made my heart wrench. I knew there and then what I have to do.

"Fuck this. C'mon Perce you're coming with me. We've got a few seconds before the sleeping draught of Cerberus wears off." I grabbed Perce while shaking off the water droplets on me due to Perce's soaking state.

"Wait what?" My boyfriend questions completely oblivious to the time limit here.

"C'mon! I'm getting you out just like I did with Hazel. I'll explain on the way!"

We both ran through the Underworld like crazy, somehow avoiding all of Dad's guards along the way. The Fates were probably laughing at us at this very moment; waiting for the chaos about to unroll.
