note: these are basically scenarios as to how other people found out that y/n and tsukishima are dating. i don't plan to do into great detail, i just thought it would be a cute idea.
The Tsukishima Family
"My mom loves you. I promise, she's going to freak out but in a good way."
"I know, but that was when we were friends. Friends. She approved of me as a friend but will she approve of me as your girlfriend?"
"She is going to approve of you. She'll probably even ask when the wedding will be."
You took small steps, your stomach in twists as you inched closer and closer to Tsukishima's house. Today was the day you were going to spring the news that you guys were dating.
Hiding behind Tsukishima as you approached the front door, you pulled on his wrist.
"Why don't we just tell her over text... or something? Why don't we-"
"Ah! Hello, come in, come in!" Hitomi gestured. "The food is right about done, so why don't you go sit at the table for a bit?"
You nodded, "Thank you Auntie, it smells good, as always."
She went back into the kitchen and the blonde took your hand, squeezing it and then letting go.Sitting down next to each other at the table, you rested your cheek on your hand.
"Y/n get under the table."
"What? Why?"
"Stop creating an earthquake then."
You suddenly became aware of the tapping of your foot, causing the plates to shake on the table. It was a habit you created when you were nervous.
"It was your idea that we tell her now anyways." Tsukishima commented.
You sighed. "Ok, alright, fine. But you do the talking."
"Yeah, yeah."
♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪
"Mom, we have something to tell you." Tsukishima took a sip of water.
You froze as you brought food up to your mouth, setting your utensil down again.
"Hm, is it important?" Hitomi took a bite.
"I guess you could say so?"
"Shouldn't we wait for your brother then?"
"No!" He placed his palms on the table, causing the ice in his glass to rattle. "He's just going to cause a big commotion and I don't want that with Y/n around. I'll tell him later."
The woman quirked a brow. "Ok, what do you want to tell me?"
"Well..."
He glanced at you with his golden eyes, waiting for confirmation. You slightly nodded.
"We're... together." He let the words slip out slowly.
"I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT!"
An excited voice called out, mixing with the sound of keys jingling. Tsukishima looked distressed.
Akiteru came into the kitchen and wrapped his arms around the both of you, causing you to hit heads with each other.
"Ahhhhh, I knew it from the time you came home that night~" He ruffled his younger brothers hair. "Kei-chan has a little girlfriend~"
