I love this. Quiet. Happy. Warm. Cold, but only outside. I can see the Colorado mountains. I'm deep in a bowl of them now. I'm at school. I can see the mountain my house is on though. I am so glad I took the library assistant period for my senior year of high school.

I hate math homework. Hard. Annoying. Doesn't make sense. I would really rather be drawing or listening to One Direction. I think I'll just do that then. I can do the homework on Sunday. It seems like more of a Sunday problem anyway.

I place my airpods in my ears. OUCH. Some of my elbow-length, thick, blond hair got caught on my circular/squarish dark gray glasses. I've been told that my glasses are really big for some people's faces, but because mine is so round, I can pull them off.

I click play on my favorite One Direction playlist on Spotify and pull my sketchbook out of my bookbag. I tug on the hood of my One Direction hoodie to cover the back of my neck to make me warmer. My hoodie is jet black with the boys' colored mics on it. Oh, shoot. I got eraser shavings on my lap. I stand up and brush them off.

Just when I sit back down, a really loud ringing screams itself into my ears via my airpods. I look down at my phone. Oh, cool! Uncle Paul is calling. I set down my pencil. "Hey Uncle Paul!" I say to him with a smile. "Hey Cece! How much is it snowing out there?" He says really cheerily. "Um. I think we've gotten about 3 feet this morning." I guess. "OOOOOOH! Who are you talking to Paulie!?!?!" I hear someone scream from Uncle Paul's end of the phone. I give Uncle Paul a quizzical look just before he mutters an apology and someone steals the phone and runs with it.

Oh God. I'm gonna get motion sick. All I can see from the screen is, like, thousands of legs all in black skinny jeans with some rips in them.

"Uncle Paul?" I ask the moving screen.

"LADS! SHUT UP! Who's on this phone?" I hear someone say in a British accent.

"Let's see then, shall we?" I hear someone say in an Irish accent.

5 faces all make their way onto the phone screen. Woah. It's One Direction. Like, I knew Uncle Paul worked with them, but like, I never thought I would meet them.

"Ooh! It's a girl!" Louis screams

"It's Cece!" Harry says to everyone and they all nod their heads in enthusiastic agreement with him. They know my name?????????

Uncle Paul runs into the screen and takes the phone. They all crowd around him, trying to shove their faces into the screen. "Sorry, Cece." He tells me. I chuckle "Oh, yeah. It's totally fine." I smile. "Uncle Paul? I have to go. I've gotta get to Human Geo." I tell him while glancing nervously at the clock. "Ok, Cece. Call me later. Have fun in Human Geo!" "I will and oh, yeah. Fun." I roll my eyes for effect. He laughs. I hang up.

....

Finally, HOME. I love home. Where are my parents? I call my dad. No answer. I call my mom. No answer. I guess I'll just have to wait.

....

It's been 4 hours. It's 7:00pm now. What's wrong? I've tried calling my parents 6 times more each. They haven't answered once. That's it. I'm calling Uncle Paul to see if he's heard from my dad - his brother. "Cece." He says blankly after 3 rings. "Have you heard from Dad?" I get straight to the point. "Yeah, about that. Cece, please sit down." He asks me calmly, like I'm going to break. I do as he says. "What happened?" I ask him nervously. "I'm at the hospital in your town right now. Your parents got in a car crash when coming home from their work." He explains.

OH MY GOD. I feel sick. "I'll be right there. What room?" I scream into the phone. I start running around tripping over laundry baskets looking for where I kicked my Sorrels. I finally find them and start tugging them on. "Room 214" Uncle Paul says calmly. I hang up and run out to my minivan. My mom gave me this minivan. I jam the keys into the ignition and my tires screech against the ice as I speed down the mountain to the hospital.
