The sun was beginning to set in the city of Calatonia. Everyone involved with the show at the ruins of the Moon Theater were getting ready for their performances. Outside of the outdoor theater was Miss Crawly who was trying to attract audience members with a megaphone. Needless to say, her method wasn't very effective.
"Hello? Ah, we-we're putting on a show here!" Miss Crawly announced into the megaphone.
She ended up scaring off a dog walking by. She then tried to get the attention of a rabbit and a cat.
"You all should come and see it!"
Miss Crawly scared them off too, who just walked by faster. A sheep was walking by, and she tried to persuade him too.
"You! Come on! Come on, fella! It's gonna be really good!"
The sheep just scurried past the iguana with the megaphone. Any other animals walking by just turned the other way, not wanting to be harassed by the old assistant. It was clear that Miss Crawly needed to work on her advertisement skills.
Backstage, Eddie became the new main stagehand since Meena would be performing. Meena and Fernando ended up showing Eddie the ropes behind the works. Buster approaches the elephant, the Gila monster, and the sheep, the latter being behind a mixing desk.
"Hey, how's our new stagehand getting on?" Buster asked.
"He's learning fast." Meena answered with a smile.
"Definitely found his way around." Fernando replied.
"All set and standing by! I love this headset!" Eddie shouted, as the headphones blocked all outside sounds.
A tired Miss Crawly comes in to bear an update.
"The audience are in their seats, Mr. Moon." Miss Crawly informed breathlessly.
Buster grinned with delight that there were animals willing to watch the show.
"Great."
However, when Buster went to take a peek from behind the curtains, he saw that there weren't as many animals out there as he had hoped for. The audience right now consisted of Meena's family, her mother and grandparents, Rosita's family, her husband Norman and her several rowdy children, and a few other random animals. It wasn't nearly the amount that Buster had expected.
"Hmm...that's all?" Buster muttered to himself.
However, the size of the audience didn't really matter that much to the showman as he snuck back away behind the curtains. Rosita soon takes a peek out into the audience for herself. She glances over to her husband, who was having a difficult time keeping the kids in check.
"Caspar! Get your pants back on young man! Please you guys, please! Please sit down! Hey, put your shoes back on right now! Zoe, I saw that! Stop it! And Leo! That is disgusting! "
Rosita smiles to herself endearingly. Tonight, she was going to make her family proud.
At the entrance of the outdoor theater, the dachshund news reporter was broadcasting the show.
"Well John, I've covered many disasters for this network, but this is sure to..."
The stage lights began to dim, signifying that the show was beginning.
"Oh, oh, they're about to start."
Backstage, Buster stood on top of a sandbag and gathered his cast for one more pep talk before the show started. Eddie was by his side with his hand on a crank.
