Steve or Peggy?

I stood by Doctor Erskine, looking through my holograms, he asked, "do you have an idea on something?" I shook my head, he seemed intrigued by what I was doing.

I looked through the knowledge of what will happen with Steve. He's a golden boy, America's golden boy nonetheless, I recalled that there was a split between two people for June 22nd, 1943.

I needed to figure out what's the problem with it. Is it so serious and important? I looked at Erskine who was staring at my holograms.

I shooed him away, but he didn't seem to notice, "shoo, I have some business to handle," he nodded and left.

I pulled out my little ball and tossed it onto the floor beneath me. It enlarged and formed around me, I felt my body start to lift up, I smiled and began using the tech on the inside that I put in.

I began doing more research on this two option thing, I needed to figure it out, and before June 22nd.

I saw it, that was the day Project Rebirth was a go. There were two options, one will make Steve the super soldier, the other will make Peggy the super soldier.

I just needed to find the differences that caused this, and also why the universe is split on those two. I looked through and read each of the two choices difference, I found out it all depended on Peggy.

I wonder what makes her so important? I finished looking through those and right as Colonel Phillips walked right in.

I asked, "is there something you need, sir?" I exited the ball and landed on my feet. He asked, "what can we do about the serum? Erskine hasn't made a decision yet, and I don't want the project going to waste because of him."

I told him, "just wait, June 22nd is when the project is a go," Phillips nodded, "that's the confirmation I needed, thank you, Charlotte."

He left and I continued working on trying to figure out things. I learned that if Peggy gets the serum, then Steve will get to become the pilot of a big machine known as the Hydra Stomper.

I smiled at the thought of him being on the front lines for once in his life. That's all he's ever wanted, I'm just glad that he could do it either as Hydra Stomper or Captain America, either way, he's still going to be a great hero.

Once I checked through everything, I kept myself in my sphere, I floated around and looked at everything surrounding me.

I don't know why of all times, but I started to feel something about those two boys, Bucky and Steve. It was like we were meant to be, kind of like me and Peggy.

I hope I could meet them again. For now, I'll just worry about making tech for Howard, he definitely needs it, no doubt.

I started to make the blueprints of the Hydra Stomper for Steve in case Peggy gets the serum. I put in a lot of details to help Howard understand what's needed for it.

I set it aside after I finished, I stepped out of my sphere and turned it into a small ball. I picked it up and put it into my pocket.

I hoped to see Steve or Bucky or both again later.

A few months later

I stayed in my sphere while waiting for Peggy and Steve, I told Peggy about the stuff that might happen depending on how she responds to the situation today, I hope she does what she wants of her own free will.

I watched her and Steve step in, now, the sphere was in shade mode so I couldn't be seen in my sphere, Steve noticed it, "woah, what is this?"

He walked over to me and touched the outer layer. Peggy answered, "that's the sphere of intelligence as Charlotte likes to call it, it's where she gets most of her knowledge from, she must be inside it currently as it's in shade mode."

I turned off shade mode, "hey Stevie! How you been?" He blushed at me calling him Stevie, "I-I'm fine, just glad I could finally be here, I finally have the opportunity to help with the war."

I nodded, "I'm very proud of you, even though I controlled you for a little there, I'm just glad you got through thanks to it."

He smiled, "thanks a lot, you were the reason after all, that I got this chance," I felt that connection again, I knew right away that he had to be my soulmate, since that feeling reappeared again.

I watched him go to the Vita-Ray Chamber. Erskine asked, "wouldn't you be more comfortable up there?" Peggy smiled, "no, I think I'll be fine here."

I watched Heinz Kruger carefully. I watched him plant the bomb, he pulled out his lighter, Peggy noticed instantly what he was planning, "no!!"

She tried to jump after him before he could set off the explosion, but it was already too late, Heinz pulled out a gun and fired it at Colonel Phillips and Doctor Erskine, both were killed.

He shot Steve who got in his way, but he would be fine, as I knew the future. He grabbed one of the vials of serum and was going to run away, but Peggy got in his way and shot him.

She picked up the vial and placed it back where it should be. The people began arguing over who should take the serum, Peggy told them she'd do it, one of the guys thought she was insane.

I knew that man was none other than Otto Schmitz, a Hydra agent who's plans were to spy on us and give info to the enemy, of course he is just like every man in this time, a misogynist.

I watched as Howard turned on the Vita-Ray
Chamber and I watched as Peggy was turned upright in the chamber and it closed, I could see her open her eyes wide.

I came out of my Sphere of Intelligence and over to Steve. I asked, "are you alright?" He nodded, he seemed to be in a little pain, I hugged him, his ears went up, like he was happy that I did that.

Did I forget to mention that he was enhanced in a way that made him a wolf? Yea, he's a wolf. He smiled despite having tears in his eyes, "thank you for being here with me."

I smiled, "of course, I will make sure you recover well enough, Stevie," I pulled him out of the hug, "and as long as I'm by your side, you'll be safe."

His ears perked up, he was fascinated, "you know...I've been thinking about this, this feeling. I've realised what it is now, you're my soulmate, aren't you? You're the one who represents the endless clock soulmark on me, right?"

I nodded, "yes, I've been thinking about that too. I realised it was the exact same feeling I had when I found out Peggy was my soulmates."

I noticed Peggy was out now, "ah, it's nice to see you're alright, Peggy." She walked over to us, she seemed very tired. Of course we let her rest while we decide what we're going to do with Steve.

I know he can become a soldier, just like he wanted to, it's just with Howard and I's help. I also had to do something as my agent of chaos thing.
