They are all standing in the tomb and Steven says "look at you" (Layla is standing in front of him) Layla says "awe, Steven that's so sweet thank you"
He says "oh look at that!" And she looks back saying to herself "oh that's what he meant" y/n says "look at how gorgeous this is! I've never seen anything like this! Only in books but still, nothing beats it" Steven says " So, if they just Spring to life and ask me a riddle for passage I'd answer, probably poo myself, but I'd be thrilled!"
They start to look for the stone that holds Ammit and after a bit, Layla says "it's a maze" y/n says under her breath "stating the obvious. So obnoxious" and rolls her eyes meanwhile Steven says "a-maze-ing" and earns a chuckle from y/n. Steven says "I love your little sexy brain wrinkles! They are so cute!" Y/n says "oh stop it Stevie" and blushes.
They continue to go through the maze-like place and they find bullets on the ground.
Layla says "what would they be shooting at?"
Y/n says "obviously not you cause you're still here" and walks toward Steven.
Steven starts drawing doming on the sand and says "this whole structure is a symbol." Layla and y/n say at the same time "it's the eye of Horus" and look at each other grossly that they both said the same thing at the same time.
Steven says "aye, look at this! It's the symbol of the afterlife"
Layla says "his last avatar was a pharaoh"
Steven says "a bloody pharaoh!!"
She says "do you think it's a map?"
Steven says "yea,umm, sooo, right, the eye of Horus is also the eye of the mind, yeah? Representing the six senses, the six points. So you got the eyebrow that denotes thoughts, pupil, sight obviously,the point here is uh hearing yeah,smell, touch. Annnnnd this long line ending in a spiral is the tongue."
Y/n says "the avatar would be Ammits voice" Steven looks at her in realization and says "yeah, you're right!"
They continue walking into this big room with a table in the middle and Layla says "ooo the Heka Priests. Judging my their masks and ceremonial stance. They would've been entombed in here to protect the pharaoh."
Y/n and Steven both say "what the heck's a heka?" And both chuckle at asking the same question.
Layla says " sorcerers of their time. They've been down here for centuries. And these must be the unlucky souls who crossed their path." Y/n starts to look a little scared and grabs onto Stevens arm for protection. He says "right, an impressive send-off" all of a sudden y/n and Steven start to gag and Steven says "oh, oh gosh, oh gosh, oh gosh is that fresh blood? And oh my little chunks of meaty bits!?" And gags more.
Y/n starts to throw up from the thought and smell.
Y/n says "let's (gags) let's (gags) let's get (gags) out of (gags)  here please (throws up)"
Layla says "yeah let's keep moving" and chuckles.
They start to walk and see a trail of blood and y/n gags some more holding onto Stevens arm.
Steven says "okay, just a minute, just a minute. I'm just saying what I see. And I see lots of bones and blood going that way" pointing the flashlight in that direction. He adds "so I'm just thinking, like, what if there's another way out? Oh look! You see that opening up there! You see that? Should we check it out?" Layla says "yeah sure"
Y/n continues to hold onto his arm cause she is terrified and trying to hold down her recent puke.
Steven says "alright, yea, I did it! I'm up." Layla says "you good?" He says "yeah. So, according to the texts, Ammit should be bound to an ushabi, those statues thingies." Y/n says "Steven, I don't feel good. I need to sit down for a minute." He says "okay, stay up here until we leave this room." And kisses her cheek.
Layla says "the exit" points to it and whispers. He says "oh okay, we're coming" and they start to move but hear gun fire and feeeze in place.
Layla says "what are they shooting at?"
Y/n says "Harrow" and growls.
Steven says "hide, hide" y/n says "please baby, don't leave me stay with me" and looks like she's about to cry while shaking.
He says "love, I could never leave you. I'll be right here if you need me." She just nods.
Layla is at the bottom and a weird creature walks in with a half dead man and puts him on the table and stabs him.
Y/n starts to muffledly gag due to the smell of the freshness. And Steven looks through the wood to see what's going on.
But then the board cracks and the Heka hears it and starts to crawl up and y/n is now muffling some cries cause this is the most terrified she has ever been. Steven is also scared and gasps.
Steven throws something across the room to distract it while Layla can escape. He says "run!! We'll find you! Go hurry!!"
Steven throws a table on it and says "I squished it, I squished it" and helps 6/n up saying "I protected you. I wasn't letting it get to my sweetheart" and smiles. Y/n says "let's go now!!" And they run off to the exit.
Steven says "oh my days!! First ones in!" Y/n says "tomb fit for a pharaoh" Steven says "thutmose 2" while severely out of breath. Y/n says "Nefertiti"
Steven says "oh, it's gotta be one of the big'uns"
Marc says "so, you kissed her?"
Steven says "no, she kissed me which ended with us both getting slapped my y/n. What are you going to do? Drown us?
Marc says "yeah I should. But you also told her the truth of why I pushed her away, and that was... unexpected"
Steven says "yeah. Wow look at all of these relics darling!"
She says "oh my stars!!"
Steven says "b...b... but the o.... Only pha... pharaoh. Bu...but, I...I... I mean, he insured on calling himself Egyptian."
Y/n says "but, this can't be real it just can't be!"
Steven looks around the tomb and says "I... I think we're looking at the long-lost tomb of Alexander the Great!!"
Y/n says "shut up!!! No way!! Oh my gosh, I'm standing at Alexander the greats tomb!!!"
Steven says "everything inside of me is screaming not to open this thing, I can't" Marc says "do you want Harrow to get to Ammit first?" Steven says "alright, alright, alright"  and pushes the lid off with ease.
Y/n is caught staring at his muscles.
Steven says "oh man" Marc says "where's the Ushanti?" Steven says "well, if you're gonna hind it for all of eternity, you'd probably put it in a place where the average looter wouldn't think to look." Marc says "so, what do you think?" Y/n says "Alexander was the voice of Ammit." In realization. Steven says "alright, I'm going to try something, I'll do something here." And goes to stick his hand in his mouth but gags and says "I'm sorry I can't do it, I just can't" y/n says "I'll do it" and sticks her hand in his mouth and says "oh, gosh, oh sorry, sorry Mr. Great, I'm so sorry so sorry." Marc says "that's it baby, you got this keep going, there you go baby you're going good, keep going deeper until you find it" she continues to look and says "why could I hear Marc? Steven says "you could hear him?" She says "slightly, it wasn't too loud but I could hear him. only barely tho"
He says "hmm, that's new"
Y/n then Phil's the Ushanti out and stares at it then says "we found it!!! Steven! Marc! We found it!!" And kissses him. Steven grabs it and says to Layla when she walks up and says "Layla! Look we got it! We won!" And laughs happily and excitedly and adds "y/n had to go digging down old Alexander the Greats gullet but we found it!" Y/n says "lay? Are you alright?" but Layla is extremely mad and says "can he hear me?" Steven says "Alexander? I don't think so, gosh I hope not"and chuckles, so does y/n.
Layla says "what. Happened. To . My . Father? I'm talking to you" and walks up to Steven. Y/n stands firm next to him to show some aggressiveness if needed to be shown. Steven says "what?" Very confused. Layla punches him in the chest and says "I'm talking to you Marc" his eyes roll and Marc is fronting and says "let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go" and turns around to walk out but she stops him and says "Marc no" he says "we need to leave now"
Layla says "what happened to my father!?" Y/n says "Layla we need to leave we don't have time for this. I'm sorry but we need to go" Marc says "listen to me, we need to leave right now, I will explain everything, I swear, but we have to go right now" Layla says "did you kill Abdullah el faouly?" Marc says "of course not, of course I didn't." Layla says "but you were there" with a cold stare to Marc's face. Y/n says "LAYLA WE NEED TO LEAVE OR ELSE WERE GOING TO ALL DIE!!"
Marc says "I was there, I was there yes"
Layla says "how did he die" Marc pauses for awhile then says "my partner got greedy. He executed everyone at the dig site. I... I tried to save your father but I... I couldn't save him. And I... I-" Layla says "no, you brought a killer right to him. Right?" Y/n says "guys, time's ticking. WE. NEED. TO. GOOOOO!" Marc says "yeah I did. He shot me too. I was supposed to die that night. But I didn't die that night. I should've." Y/n says "Marc, don't you ever say something like that again. You're here for a purpose and that is to protect people and the travelers of the night. You are a hero, my hero, But you might also be a villain to others. You need to find out what means more, before time runs out. I love you Marc Spector" Marc says "I love you too baby, always and forever. But Layla, I've tried to tell you since the day we met but I just didn't know how to" and Layla starts laughing. Y/n says "bish, what's wrong with you? He fricken apologized and told you and you still tripping! You hurt my sexy brain wrinkles. You're making them not sexy!!" Layla says "that's the reason we met" Marc says "I'm sorry" defeatedly but she keeps going on and it's breaking y/n's heart to see Marc like that. She adds "you just had a guilty conscience"
A walking noice can be heard in the distance and Marc says "they're here"
Y/n says "Duh, I've told y'all for the last 15 freaking minutes and y'all just stood there like duhhhhhhh come and get me bish I have the Ushanti but I'm still going to stand here like a dumbbell. So I warned you." And hides behind a pole.
Harrow and his men walk in saying "it's just you?" Marc nods. Harrow says "the rest is silence. I remember the first morning I woke up knowing that Khonshu was gone. The quiet was liberating. You're a free man! And, of course, with that freedom comes a choice. And right now you have a very important decision to make." Marc nods yes and the man walks up about to grab it and Marc starts to fight the men. And then Harrow shoots him in the chest and two more times and he falls into the water. Harrow walking up grabbing the Ushanti and walking off.
After they walk of and we wait a few minutes. Y/n shouts "LAYLA, WHY DIS YOU MAKE HIM TELL YOU RIGHT AT THAT MOMENT!! HES DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU!! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" and runs up to Marc and sobs and sobs and sobs. She eventually shouts "GET OUT, you have NO right to be here." And she leaving saying her goodbye to Marc. Leaving y/n there to grieve over Marc and Steven peacefully 😭💔
