Layla is screaming at Steven "Steven! Wake up!! Come on wake the heck up!!!"
Y/n says "chill out gosh, you're giving me a headache. He's just passed out give him time."
Layla says " why are you here again?"
Y/n says " to help stop Harrow and Ammit. Why are you here?"
She says " not to be friends with you that's sure you're the last person I wanna be around"
Y/n says " good, at least there's some thing we can agree upon. After we finish this mission you will never see my face again. And that's a promise"
She says "thank you" and looks up.
All of a sudden a car light is heading towards them and they look at each other and pick up Steven and start carrying him away.
They roll down a hill and spot their jeep and run towards it. Y/n shouts "'what about Steven? We can't leave him there."
Layla says "for now we do"
And they both jump in the back of the car.
Layla of course starts to complain saying "can you scoot over gosh, you're taking up all the room"
Y/n says "your attitude is taking up all the room." And the men spot Steven laying on the ground and go towards him thinking he's dead.
Layla finds a red glowy stick and waves it at them and y/n says "real smart" and takes it from her.
She lays it on the floor and rolls to the other side grabbing another one by the time they got there they didn't see them.
All they saw was the red stick.
All of a sudden y/n jumps out throwing the red stick at the truck the guys were in. Blowing it up.
She says "and that's how it's done." And smirks.
Layla turns around seeing Steven and says "what?"
He nods and says "n...n...nothing"
Y/n comes back around hugging him saying "I'm glad you're up we need to leave asap."
And they all get in the car sticking Layla in the back.
Layla says "we can't loose anymore. Harrow must be headed back to the tomb. Look, if he is, we're gonna need Marc, yea?"
Steven looks in the reflection and Marc says "exactly,see, she gets it"
Steven says "no" and Layla says "no?"
Steven says "no, you see, the thing is, we made a deal, Marc and I, that when he was done with Khonshu, he would disappear for good."
Marc says to Steven "but that deal didn't get y/n, Layla and us killed did it? That's not going to fly with me. I'm telling you If y/n/n gets hurt I-" Steven says "she won't get hurt mate, I won't let that happen."
Layla says "you guys made a deal?"
Y/n says "gosh, you really are dumb. Are you sure you don't have naturally blonde hair?" And laughs.
She says "shut up"
Layla adds "that he would just disappear from my life?"
Y/n says "y'all are divorced! Get over him Layla gosh!"
Layla continues with "and you didn't think that maybe I should've been made aware of that?"
Steven says "Oh, well, hadn't he disappeared from your life already?"
Y/n busts out laughing breaking on the gas about to fall over due to the laughing.
Layla says "Yeah, well, I mean, whatever. His suit was his best feature wasn't it? Didn't even have that anymore"
Marc says "Steven, give me the body right now. This is a suicide mission. Do you want y/n to die?" "No,no Marc I don't. But she has Nut."
Marc says "you seen what happened at crazy horse man's house with the suit! It messed up and didn't save her"
Layla says "plus, I know him. He'd wanna lone wolf this whole thing. That's not happening and we're not doing that." Y/n says " Layla, give him a choice. You are being a hinderance. Let him be." She adds "Marc, if you can hear me. I know you're nervous about what happened at lunatic horseman house but Nut gave me a new suit. It's a lot cooler" and smiles.
Nut says " something happened when you rolled that made it go into a shock mode. I'm sorry." Y/n says "it's okay. Mistakes happen."
Steven says " we're all three going to do this together no matter how tough it is"
Y/n breaks the car and says "we should probably go by foot now."
After a few hours of walking, Layla says " there they are, let's keep moving"
They all continue walking towards the tomb. Y/n says "they are already inside. We need to find a faster way to get to Ammit before they do"
Y/n and Steven go in a tent to look for supplies but Layla stays outside.
They look around and Steven sees a table and Marc says "you look scared" "I'm not" y/n says "I am" and laughs.
Marc says "look I wish I could just disappear. I really do. But unfortunately I'm still here. And if you're gonna go through with this, you need to be smart for y/n's sake. When I'm gone all she'll have is you. I've been in situations like this before." "So have I,it's the same body, innit?" Y/n says "y'all fight like brothers" and laughs.
Steven adds "it's in there somewhere. Muscle memory in that."
Marc says "yeah, I'm not sure it works that way bud" "whatever" and walks off.
Marc says "I'm here, you're not alone." "I know I'm not alone. I know I'm bloody not alone. I've got y/n/n and Layla. They got my back."
Marc says "are you in love? You're in love with my wife?" Y/n looks at Steven hurt and says "are you?"
Steven says "of course not sweetheart, I'm in love with you and only you. Marc is too he's just mad." She says " Marc? I thought you loved me? You can't have both of us"
Steven says " I appreciate your concern me, but we've got it from here" and continues to walk out with y/n holding her hand.
Marc says "don't you convince her of that Steven! I swear to you! Steven I swear!!!" Steven says " If I need a recipe for protein shake or something I'll call you." Marc shouts "ILL THROW US OFF A CLIFF!!" And with that they exit the tent.
Steven says "I have to say, I feel like I've been waiting for this my whole life. The adventure obviously." Layla continues to strap him to the cable and she is too close for y/n's comfort and Layla says "you smell like him, why wouldn't you right?" Steven says "umm yeah right" and nervously laughs.
Meanwhile y/n is over strapping herself in talking to Nut.
Layla leans in to kiss him and Steven blurts out to stop her " The reason he pushed you away was because he was trying to protect you from Khonshu. That's why he pushed you away, he thinks Khonshu wants you as his next avatar and he didn't want that. I just... just thought you should know that."
She says "I don't need protection, I need honesty" Steven says "yeah I get that, she's honest with me too so I understand how important it is to you" and smiles.
She says "that's more of a you thing isn't it?"
Steven stutters and says "hon... honesty?" She chuckles and says "Yeah, honesty" and smiles. She leans forward and kisses him deeply and he tries to pull away but before he can, y/n turns around and sees him kissing her and gets very upset and walks over and slaps her and Steven.
Steven says "it's...its.... It's not wha... what you... you thi... think sweetheart. I would never. I love you darling please believe me." And looks pleadingly. Y/n and eyes full of rage and stares at him and then they soften and says "Steven, you've always been honest with me and for that I will trust you" and softly smiles but then her whole demeanor changes when she looks at Layla. If a look could kill, that's what she would've done. But she Hass to remain cool because she needs to finish this to defeat Harrow and Ammit.
Layla says " I'll go down first so I don't go belay"
Steven says "what's belay?"
Layla continues like nothing just happened saying " I still can't tell when you're joking or not" and laughs.
Y/n stares hastily at her cause Steven is her boyfriend and she doesn't like that at all. More so doesn't like Layla period.
Layla jumps down and all of a sudden Marc punches Steven and he says "oh sh-" and falls down. Y/n pushes him down and jumps after him into the hole.
