You couldn't hold your tears back any longer. You huddled yourself over the fluffy white cat, still in your lap, and tried to protect the little one from the mini rain storm you knew was coming.
"Hey, shh..." You felt Felix's arm wrap around your shoulders, his other hand on your right knee. "It's okay. My friend feels this exact same way."
"Randomly getting depressed and angry about soulmate things?"
"Yep."
"Because people that he deeply cares about already have theirs?"
"Yep."
"And the fact that the monotony of life goes on while you, as a hermit..."
"...wish you could get off your couch, look past your sadness and figure it out?"
You looked over at him in shock, realizing his cheek was resting on your shoulder.
